Yes, it does make quality control a lot easier, and you generally wont start producing something in the US if it is crap, as it's very expensive. But a lot of stuff made in Asia is just as good, and sometimes even better. And don't let them fool you, just because they say made in the US, does not mean EVERYTHING is done in the US. Most of the time only part of the manufacturing is.
