Seriously, Konami should have passing the Gradius Franchise to Treasure Developer and Co-op develop so that it won't be a frustrating way to develop Metal GEAR, Silent Hill and Run and Gun platform game because that game company is former Konami employee developer.
@EricPR239 4 is mighty harder than 5 in 4 you really can't get past loop 3 final stage without being a true gradius god because its pretty much imposible.
Trust me.
But Gradius 3 arcade original is super hard and unfair think of playing that game on high loops.

Tis run is on hardest difficulty, and on loop 10.Loop means, that the game as completed and and it sends you to begining, but even harder.The more loops, the harder game is.

it is correct to tell that it's on the hardest loop but not the hardest difficulty because you can't get full power ups by konami code from the start on very hard mode due it's not enabled on very hard but in normal difficulty or less the konami code works and in these runs all of them were done on normal difficulty loop 10 ^_^

Why do you think tat Konami Code was used? It don't need to be like that. Shinrya could, for example, start game from loop 9 and get power-ups for loop 10.
BECAUSE it's impossible to start the game from that loop and you need to play 14 hours straight to reach loop 10 then it will be available in stage select .. what i mean is you can't continue the loop from stage select ( you can try it by yourself i've played the game 445 hours for 6 years straight of experience ) so are you telling me that shinya played 14 hours and restarted this stage from game story and got full power ups without konami code ?
in other words shinya didn't show us himself using konami code and that's what i'm also doing in my videos for not to make it embarrassing to be watched X3

Gradius Gaiden maximum loop where the game difficulty locks is loop 8 because i've reached loop 10 in it and the game still tells me that loop 8 is the maximum selected difficulty and in Gradius Gaiden THAT is also stage select not game start XD
The Final Boss is Bacterion. Just like EVERY other Final Boss in the Gradius Universe (Save for Gradius Gaiden...that boss ACTUALLY attacks you), they never hit you and they die just by seeing you.
Never the less, Gradius was a childhood favorite of mine. Still is. It took me a year to find this game. I found it on chance at gamestop used for $15...last copy too. So I snatched it. Let's all hope for more Gradius in the future! LET'S HOPE FOR GRADIUS VI!!!!

The Final Boss is a piece of another brain called Venom. I think Venom appeared in Gradius 2. So everytime you beat a Gradius game you kill a brain, and if a piece of that cell survives, it will regenerate until another brain is made. So, there must be another Gradius that pieces of old cell brains survived, like Zelos. But, if you play Gradius Gaiden, the last boss appears like the ball Zelos was hidden in Gradius 1 for NES.
I thought the final boss' name was always Bacterion? On a related note, wow. This is the easiest final boss yet - it doesn't even try to fight. He delivers a speech you can't stop, AND THEN HE INSTANTLY DIES UPON FINISHING.

WOW just WOW. Thats an amazing video. I didn't think it was humannly possible to do some of the stuff you did. This game on normal mode was incredibly hard for me. I had to get free play to beat the game.
Is there a way to get rid of free play after 20 hours? Its really boring to play with free play. But i want the continues.

The final boss must be the easiest end-of-game boss ever... and the brain is always the last boss in every Gradius game. It's actually a welcome relief to get such a relaxing finish if you get through the absoultely hardcore action beforehand!
For you naysayers about the player "cheating" because he got hit..
Try playing the game yourself. The ship has a small hitbox - the cockpit, to be exact.
What does this mean?
This means, that if an enemy shot comes in contact with the cockpit, you die. But if you maneuver cleverly and happen to have the bullets graze the rest of your ship, you will be unharmed because the bullets did not touch the hitbox.
the konami code only provides 1 speed up, 4 options, missile, laser/double and force field, unlike R-type final which makes you invincible... But the hitbox in this game is so small that sometimes, even you would be surprised on how much you can dodge. Then again, it's still easy to die in this game...

3- DR.Venom in Nemesis 2 MSX .

For you naysayers about the player "cheating" because he got hit..
Try playing the game yourself. The ship has a small hitbox - the cockpit, to be exact.
What does this mean?
This means, that if an enemy shot comes in contact with the cockpit, you die. But if you maneuver cleverly and happen to have the bullets graze the rest of your ship, you will be unharmed because the bullets did not touch the hitbox.

the konami code only provides 1 speed up, 4 options, missile, laser/double and force field, unlike R-type final which makes you invincible... But the hitbox in this game is so small that sometimes, even you would be surprised on how much you can dodge. Then again, it's still easy to die in this game...

no cheat was used,
you're ok as long as the orb on da plane doesnt get hit, & i watched it carefully too as i play the game.
he dodged everything....

the plane has a small hit box (probably about a pixel big) which is the cockpit so the rest can get hit by shots.
