This great film could have been real classic of Mystery/Thriller genre - intriguing and interesting storyline, great acting, awesome ending. Johnny Depp was great as always. Heather Graham did a good job too. Ian Holm ('Alien', 'The Fifth Element') was special as villain

@Magnolia296 Sorry, wait WhAT are you talking about?? This was one of his WORST films, in my opinion. There was no point to the end, and he didn't pull off the role of Aberline as well as he could have.  Go back and watch it again, paying particular attention to his performance, and then go watch something we KNOW he was really good in (What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Benny & Joon, etc). You'll see that he isn't really into it.

I would raise my kid in another country too, since the schooling in USA isn't as good as it used to be. The No Child Left Behind really made our schools worse.

Johnny Depp was smart about moving there. He is in a place he can be himself and not have to worry about idiotic tabloids or paparazzi stalking him. He can be a human.
