i haven't even gotten a chance to touch this phone yet and i know it is better than the iPhone... aaaaaaah... i wish we have this in Canada... lucky Europeans! :(
downranked mrbigtime, BIGTIME! No one wants you ucking iphone fanboy trolling on a maemo video, your product is inferior so stop trolling on the message boards. What is it with Iphone trolls and thier inferiority complex/jealousy of vastly superior machines such as the HD2/N900 and the upcoming XPERIA X3/HTC Dragon.
I tried it out last saturday and there were no problem what so ever whit the touchscreen. It was realy easy to use and you did not have to apply any pressure at all.
Err.. the iPhone 3GS is also at 600 Mhz (though it can go up to 830 but right now is underclocked to 600). And I think the n900 has more RAM + with Swap it would easily dwarf the iPhone in RAM.
I dont understand why you are saying this both phones have the same processor and the n900 has actually more ram (256mb physical and 768 swap = 1gb)... Just check in wikipedia...
Plus you get a real camera and a physical keyboard...
But if you want to go with the stupid restrictions in iphone I totally understand :) I also had one but I am ditching since this in my opinion is much better
Yes, you're right. But since this N900 has a lot more features than the iPhone 3GS, it does need that 768MB virtual RAM. All I'm saying is 512MB RAM would have been heavenly in this phone!

To be frank, I do intend to argue with people who refer to Wikipedia as their source of information.
I'm so proud of Nokia their starting to kick their old habits eg weak CPU etc. I would suggest 3 major thing in the Next Big Nokia smart phone: AMOLED screen with Capactive touch technology and at least 8 Megapixel Camera cause 5 Megapixel is so last year lol and please make an Australian N900 cause are Next Gen stuff works on 850MHz and Telstra owns that and with that They cover 99% of Australian Population =)

did i said: NOKAI IS SAYING ITS USING CAP. tech? kid how old r u? english is not my native language but as i see u sck at english too. U FAIL twice times. pls go and do not come back.
again, not true! I have the N97 and have tried N900 and it's so much better than N97 (in every way as N97 is not very good at all). And have tried iPhone too, it's ok but the glass screen breaks so easily and it can't multitask, it's a dumb device.
u dont PUSh the glass of iphone.its capacitive so just soft toch is enough, which u cant just touch in resistive . resistive requires hard push or a stylus(which why u must use ur NAILS)..anyway. people r biased. go get N900 with poor touch screen. i dont say its bad but not enough. iam angry to NOKIA, my favorite, because they insist of using capacitive.
Some countries allow digital signatures on mobile devices as legit on signed documentations thus resistive will still live on. In the near future a combination of both of sorts may occur, who knows.
I just want this in a slightly slimmer function and with NAM bands 850/1900Mhz as I'll be able to use them on 3 major carries in less than 2mths in Canada. Right now non support the AWS 1700/2100Mhz bands for North America (Tmobile usa only).
Finally, I can have my laptop with me while on the go... w/o having to lug the luggage of a laptop & phone & camera & iPod. Now, that's what I'm talking about.
Imagine meamo on a tablet that would be beast

Anyone noticed HTC's "Pro Three"? That baby's got 1GHZ of Processor :)
By the time Pro3 arrives this Nokia+Maemo relationship will become obselete.
Nokia is still just a little kid with the same Nokia 3310 mentality and menu structure :)

According to Shazam, Ray Kay's "United in Love". There's some mixes on YouTube but i don't have time to verify it.

The only thing that's stopping me from buying this over the iPhone 3GS is this phone's processor...Why only 600 MHz? And RAM too! :(

Nokia NEVER SAYS that N900 has a capacitive screen! You were the one who assume that it does! THINK BEFORE YOU POST/ACT/SAY ANYTHING!
