Wow, so many no relevenant HATERS out here, its unreal. People saying they like the original better, when the orginal Mercedes R 500 looks like a plain, boring, outdated station wagon/mini van hybrid.

This car is amazing work of art, and for all we the functions like its suppose to be, a SHOW CAR that is meant to be drivin down town or cruise the beach, not for fkin racing morons, lol. The best feature is especially the modded suicide doors and the amp logo feature

It's funny how a lot of people put negative comments on ideas they really know nothing about. If you think it's ugly, that's all well and good (beauty is in the eye of the beholder). However, these losers complaining about "waste of money", "tragedy", etc. fail to realize this is part of R&D and that these one-off prototypes will %99.99 never see the light of day for production. Alpine has done some really amazing work on this car. Fabricating a whole new look in that way is truly awesome. That doesn't mean I like the car. I think it looks aweful, and it can't be used on the road. It's kind of stupid pulling up to a carshow with you car on a trailer if you ask me. Therefor, good point scareface999! Even though it's a matter of oppinion. One thing should be said after all, the Alpine guys has some crazy skills!
