hey quick question, whats the best version of mame to run?

there are so many ive never actually known i thought i might aswell ask you, you seem to know everything there is to know about emulation

the best i find is a old version of mame fx.

@trixster6d9 Could you tell me where to get this version? I'm currently running the newest mame and more ROMS do NOT work than DO work. I think due to upgrades made since they were ripped. I could do torrent or p2p download. Also, I'm looking for roms as well for MAME. THANK YOU!!

very nice cab. what are you using to run tekken 2 as i use mame 32 and it runs slow

thank you, i am using mame fx and my pc specs are:

2.4 duel core

160 gig hard drive

1gig of ram

nvidia 7200 gforce video card with s-video

if it does not run good and your pc specs are lower then the ones above, then you need to upgrade before it will run flawlessly

MAME32 is ancient, unless you mean a 32-bit build of MAMEUI.

If you have a 32-bit (P4 class) CPU you won't get any decent speeds on the Tekken series. My 2.8 single core gets 60% speed on 0.132.

what is power return? s that how you use a tv for a computer?

im trying to get into making a cabinet with killer instinct and other games....

power return is when you unplug or cut the power off the tv(example: powerbar) when you put power back to it it will turn on atomaticly without touching the power button.

you want this because your power button will be covered up with the bezel

i hook the computer to the tv with s-video
