  • lol bike scratcher

  • very nice video. this is one of the best parkour conditioning videos i've seen because it doesn't drag on, there's no showing off and it doesn't need music to keep the viewer interested.

    good stuff mate!

  • 1:20 is hammer... fuck...

  • Impressive. That place looks amazing for training.

  • 5:38 to 6:07 is HARD !!

  • how long did you have to work out to do this stuff?

  • anyone can do it! if its too hard or long, just scale it down for your level.

  • Congratulations, awesome training. I adopt all your exercises, and I do it on the rainy days, in my living room!

But, you need to improve your landings...too much impact!

    POwerfull!

  • why not do it outside on the rainy days i do feel so much better :D

  • Here, where I live, the rainy days mark near 0ºC / 32º F!!!

It's kinda NUTS do it outside!

    Farewell

  • Oh, ok fair enough then.

  • Pffft, 0 degrees.

I PK in the winter when it's -20.

  • Good work my friend, I'm impressed.

  • Ok, Where the hell is that, I need to go there, I NEED IT!!!! o.O

  • You have no imagination... You can find a ledge anywhere or a big rock or a block of wood or many little rocks to put in your backpack... You can do all these stuffs with two chairs and ledge. Almost all of it...

  • Ive got the imagination, Its just that the spots where really nice! :) and besides. its snow here so theres not mutch i can do outside yet, Though as you said, You can almost do it all with two chairs! :)

  • me sirvio bastante tio para los calentamientos

  • Wow! This is a really great workout. You're a great traceur, Ryan!

  • these shits are harder than i thought.

  • Great!

  • SPLINTER CELL!!!!!!!! AWESOME

  • rockin the ariake

  • So if I wanted to get into Parkour, could I do any of these excersises NOW, or should I wait to get into a BIIIIT better shape?

  • You should exercise no matter what shape you are, just be careful when trying new things. =)

  • Most of these exercises can be done by anyone. As you get better and stronger, you can work up to the harder progressions.

  • Thank you guys.

I've only been able to find a few things to do, but I've been trying to do them every day. (Jumping from wooden posts sticking out of the ground, climbing a fence, ect. ect.)

  • Its great when you have such a motivation, but make shure you start slowly and do NOT overtrain yourself.

This happened to me, and I had to stop training for 5 weeks due to an inflammation of some tendons in my shoulder.

But don't worry, just listen to your body ;)

    greetings from germany

  • It's Great

  • Haha, that girl at 3:30 looked a little freaked out when you were crawling up the side of the stairs.

  • LoL, she intentionally kept close to the other side of the stairs :)))

  • That is a great place to practice at! I wish i had places like that where i live. anways, nice vid. thanks

  • those must be some super no slick shoes...where can i get some ^^

  • those are k-swiss shoes named airake if im not mistaken

these shoes claim to be parkour-shoes

    w/e

  • Wait a sec i live there!!!

  • let me ask u this did u lift weights like crazy b4 u started or did u just get in good enough shape from doing this alot?

  • i used to be into weights but you dont need them to become strong. all you need is a creative outlook on your environment and a good work ethic and desire to get strong.

  • you can become stronger with weights and pylo's

escpecially for the lower body where body weight excercises lack the resistance to improve strength

  • Hey thanks for some new ideas and especially techniques!

    Greetz from Germany

  • This has given me some ideas.

People don't mind if your shimmying down the bike racks bumping into their bikes?

  • nah its ok. i am not hurting the bikes at all!

  • SKILLS!!

  • Thanks man, this vid helps me a lot! :D

    Greetings from Spain :)

  • wow. Very good imagination. very fast climbs and nice exercise which i shlould use tommorow. Thanks for this video, very useful for me.

  • is that at a university

  • yes, it is at Colorado University in Boulder, COlorado

  • lol you completely mauled those peoples bikes Ryan, how rude of you.

  • Nice shoes. Do you use K-Swiss Ariake?

  • That he does!!!

  • O.O very impressive lol seriously that was really cool ahhaha

  • Very nice Ryan! I'm heading back to Park Place soon if any of you wanna join me!

    -Rock

  • nice grip on those shoes man... climbing on that post was killer

  • Nice conditioning exercises! ^_^

By the way, what camera did you use in this video? I think this is the clearest video I've seen so far. ^_^

  • Agreed.

  • "street-bouldering".

  • very good training. a lot of this exercise are "street-boulder". :-)

  • cool video, great trainings

  • i train with obsidian1138 and we do stuff like this too. check his strength training vid. love your spots mate

  • you have some wierd conditioning methods

some of it was good though

    nice work

  • Some of the exercises in there seemed ridiculous, like crawling backwards up the stairs or that thing on the bike rack. It also seems very disrespectful if those bikes were not yours.

  • its all training and the bike rack was absolutely amazing who cares if its his or not it's not like he broke them

  • i like tis video ;)

  • Awesome video man, this gave me a ton of new ideas for conditioning, I'm in the Springs at the moment, but maybe sometime I can go jam with y'all up in Denver =)

  • Really good video. This kind of conditioning is an important part of parkour training. If I'm ever in Colorado, I'd love to come and train with you. Looks like you've got some good spots there :)

  • Nice Ariakes

  • Hi

your training is very good, but do you really train this often? There are many things which are good at your video, but i think your knees are under too much stress in some exercices and I like to seperate upper and lower body exercies.

Keep on training hard and happy

  • At the most, I do this training once a week.

I have terrible achilles flexibility and it is something I have dealt with my whole life. Because of this, I can't do things like squats with strict form. For example, I can't keep my foot flat on the ground in a full squat position. Because of this, my form suffers some but I have found ways to get around it and compensate.

  • Too much stress on the knees? huh? How so? The human body is an incredible machine. Some people say that running on concrete is too much stress too, but those people are highly uneducated...or misseducated :/ I was just going to comment on your squats too. Achilles flexibility? That's weird. I actually thought I had that in my right foot but I just had to learn to control the muscle through it's full range of motion. Really slow squats help for that.

  • yeah i also got the achilles thing too. i just cant do that squat.

  • nice stuff there!

do you train with bodyweight exercises only?

  • I also do weighted compound exercises such as power cleans, squats, deadlift, and bench. I don't waste time on silly isolation exercises like bicep curls though.

  • nice stuff but had to laugh at 4:10+ with the bike wrestling

  • Love the variety of your conditioning ^^ keep up the spirit!

  • very nice vid, very fit dude and very nice physique as well :P

  • nice excersise of training

  • As you said in the New Yorker article, most of us will never actually do parkour, but this is what we do and this is what makes us useful.

Good choice to not use music. Reminds me of Naim's training, although with more strength elements.

  • I DID PARKOUR when someone snatches my cellular phone

  • dont forget the reason we do parkour is because we enjoy it. personally i like getting stronger just for the sake of it.

  • Amazing fitness and coordination!
