go to the acer website support page , find ya model of laptop and itll have the drivers and software for u to download in a exe file or something , just install it like any other program/driver

you may have a different varient/ version, like they updated the 6920G so it has 2.2 or something instead of 2.1 Ghz

Nice laptop but comes with far too much crapware. I reformatted mine and installed OEM Vista and OEM XP. Performs much better now.

:) I know the acer software is a enormous pain in da butt but the problem with formating it, is that I'am to lazy to find the drivers to get xp to work with all the different stuff.

I only put XP on mine with the bare minimum of drivers to get it working, namely network, graphics and sound. So I can use some of my ham radio software on it, which don't work too well with Vista. For everything else yes Vista works great on the 6920.

you can't the hard drives wont let you. Its because our computers were specifically licsensed for windows vista.....and beyound!!! lol (i have a 6920G i tried the same thing)

The computer may come with a Vista license, but one can install any OS on the thing.

I've installed XP dual booted with Vista on my 6920g without any problems at all.

I've had the same problem with my Acer. The cindash would work and it would cut out. Been sent away for repair twice failed to repair it. Got it in Dec 08 only had 3 weeks use of it. It came back to the repairer damged! A 6cm knife mark by the touch pad.

Taking legal action against the store/Acer if they don't refund mt $1200.

i paid £685.97 for this laptop 2 weeks ago, i had to take it back to the shop the next day because there was a problem with the cindash. it wouldnt work at all and when i looked at the FAQ's it is a common problem so they replaced it and now the cindash works but only with the power lead. not with just batt. and when you use arcade delux it asks you to install update, if you click yes you cant use blueray. 2 big downfalls but still great sound and graphics, and looks pretty sexy.

i dont know about any of you guys but mine sucks the proccessors are so slow that an 1.73x2 ghz ibm laptop can run games smoother ( the ibm laptop isnt made for gaming at all its one of those really small ones)

Fixed it!!!! the acer enpowering technology software sucks it set my plugged in performence power to minimum. I have no problems with my cine dash although to ajust the volume durin ga game is a pain in the ass cus it resets what your doing.
