your hips are a bit too fast i think. your left arm should be lined up with your left leg ahead of the ball at impact yours looks a bit behind. (i think..hard to pause perfectly)
maybe try thinking about moving your knees together towards the target then your body with naturally turn out a bit more on time
MIKE AUSTIN WAS THE GREAT TEACHES IN THE WORLD OF GOLF AND HE HIT THE GOLF BALL 515 YARD AT AGE 64, DAN SHAUGER LEARNED FROM THE BEST TEACHES MIKE AUSTIN, I HAD SEVERAL LESSON FROM DAN AND NOW I HIT MY GOLF BALL STRAIGHT DOWN THE LINE NOW AND WITH OUT BACK PAIN AND HE HELP WITH MY PUTTING AND SHORT GAME, DAN HAS 2 BOOK AND 27 DVD AND HE WORKING ON 3RD BOOK NOW aperfectswing I PLAY A BETTER AROUND OF GOLF NOW WITH OUT BACK PAIN THANK AGAIN DAN AND CHECKOUT DAN BOOT CAMP I DID HELP ME OUT ALOT
I like the wide extension and the appearance that the swing is in a great plane. You have the fundamentals of a great golf swing. I will tell you one thing though. Your right foot needs to stay on the ground until near impact. Watch swings of guys like Ernie Els, Mickleson, Stricker, Luke Donald, Paul Casey, Justin Rose. You will see when their right heel comes up and it is much closer to impact than yours which is at the start of your downswing. Good Luck.
way to much sway (watch how much your head moves) ... which translates.....to much right arm controlling the swing (pulling the club back with right arm)
You are very inconsistant as you hook and push your shots, correct?
10 bucks says you can not hit a 7 iron 120 yards just using your left arm. You should be able to hit it well past 100 yards like this consistantly. It will fix you sway and overuseage of dominant arm.
One other thing, your hip line is so level through impact...I love it. I would take that Ben Hogan thing off your description. He fought the "lefts" so his left side came up through impact, he had to. I would never teach Hogans swing to anyone, it doesn't work for anyone else. Fundamentaly, you are more sound than he is- a lot of people are, he woud be the first to tell you that, especially at set-up.
Looks like Byron. Don't listen to these guys-just keep doing what you're doing. Nicklaus had the same leg and foot action. I would like to see your hands ahead of the ball at impact. But since you clear your hips early it makes more sense once I watch it a bunch. I bet you hit it a ton.
Too much hip and leg movement. your head also moves too far back on the backswing. try keeping your head straight through the backswing and moving a head length through on the forwardd swing. draw a line at where the ball should be and try keeping your head on the line on the backswing. and whenn you finish your swing look down at the line and see where your head placement on the followswing is...hope this helps!
good swing. a tad awkward to look at, but very technically sound. i'd strengthen your right hand grip a bit and you won't have to manipulate your right hand as much at impact and you won't have to worry about hitting it fat. cause right now it looks like you reach max speed right before you hit the ball. a stronger grip will facilitate you reaching that speed through impact.
@kukke25 I Like the song, so wanted to share it with YOU guys, put the swing over and over again.(two different recordings) For those who like the song and would listen to all of it, the ending of the video i different.
@kuneckid05 Gorgeous swing!!! A little unorthodox but a beautiful follow through. I'm starting to get a little frustrated and jealous looking at all these great swings from you kids so much younger and I am, lol. But you have a ton of talent and you don't need me to tell you that. Keep it up and soon you'll be giving us advice.
@kuneckid05 You've got a pretty good swing, but my suggestion to you is to keep you right foot on the ground through impact. Many good players do this, it increase accuracy. Just try for a few shots. If you don't like it, then don't do it. But it works for me.
Mradamstevenson has given excellent advise, look how flat your left wrist is at address, a sure sign you hold the club to high in the palm. This can lead to a number of issues deeper in the swing. Hold the club futher in your fingers, and work on connecting upper and lower body rotation. Leave right foot grounded or leave pelvis/stomach turned and start downswing with chest unwinding. lower + stronger ball flights, perhaps some draw too. gluck
Oh yeah, Ball position, under you left armpit!! this is important! At the momment it's too far back which will also be a result of you hanging back. You need to turn your hips which will pull your sternum forward so that cover the ball at impact.
You have great lag that gets ruined thru impact, the reason is your upper spine is so disconnected from your lower spine, huge slide of the hips forward leaving your upper spine hanging back and your hands have to play catchup. I'd like to see youkeep your right foot on the ground until after impact, rotate your hips, left hip clears behind you, not slide forward. Next you need to grip the left hand in the fingers, under the palm pad.
hey nice swing man! if look at your impact you have a bit of a flip in your wrist. basically with the lag you creat you really need to keep that right up untill impact then release. go to a picture of tiger or sergio at impact and you will see how far forward there hands are. work on this and you will get a far more consistent strike on the ball plus mayb 10 yards more distance at least with the irons.
very tidy backswing, tempo is a little on the quick side (starting hip turn before club is set) only a fraction, look at the slow mo @ 1.06, you have only just reached the top of your backswing and your heel is off the turf, just let it turn with the hip not before it. i believe scratch is not beyond you! good luck
. Very good lag and you are in mostly good positions. You should easily be hitting the ball 10 to 25 yds further. I think you are somehow losing some X-factor with your Right side/hips being dominate and opening a bit early on the downswing giving you too much of a arm swing thru impact.
oh okay, i am going to perform a Golf Training Program in the gym over winter and o develop more golf muscles and hit the ball further. i hope that will work
You right hand seems to be a bit quicker than your left.Your not getting the flying wedge in there with the hands leading the clubhead enough at impact.Nice swing but your just missing. What are you yardages with different clubs?
nice swing however your right hand seems to be very dominant through the impact zone your left needs to be a bit firmer, my guess is that you have trajectory problems because of it..don't forget that your left arm needs to pull through hitting zone as well..
I love your action with your right knee keep up the hard work...
to fix your left hand...pitch/ knock down shots 50-120
Not sure exactly what to say. I love to see people with desire, whether you're a 30 hdcp who wants to be a 20 or scratch who wants to be on the tour. You've said before that you are an 8 hdcp, and this is the type of swing I would expect to see from an 8. That's not good or bad, but it is a flawed swing. I know it's cliche, but you can't do it alone. You need to find a good coach, one that you believe in. The rest is up to you. It is far beyond anyone to make you better over the internet.
Swing looks fairly effective. Your swing is similar to lucas glover's, and that would be a good comparison piece for analyzing your swing. Few simple things tho, you have the ball way too far back for a mid iron. Play your wedge in middle of stance and gradually move the ball up with your longer clubs. Also, work on keeping your hands slightly ahead of the ball at impact. That will help you be more consistent and will help eliminate that quick hook miss. Good luck.
Good Swing depending on how consistent you are if you tried to keep your hips a little bit more steady and try to turn a little bit later Idk if this is really good advice it just REALLY helped me with my consistency
wow, really really good swing..great lag..great tempo, evreything is great. I honestly can't beleive how much head movement there is tho. For me, when my head is moving all over is when I loose consistency. I wish I could slide that far back, head included and have consistent strikes. I'm not being critical b/c this is a really good swing, I'm just "saying" haha
looks real good man... i think you sway just slightly on the way back.. but if it works go for it. Love how you start your downswing with your left hip and left shoulder. Well done!! I swing similar. Is your stance closed at adress or slightly open like Hogan? I tried the open stance but went back to slightly closed
Looks like you can put a nice strike on the ball. There is some similarity to Hogan with your huge lag, but your upper body sways too far to the right on the back swing. Hogan didn't do that, but this swing is close to Hogan.
its definitely different, head sways a mile backwords, but w/e works i guess.

go to clemshaw on youtube (sean Clements) watch both of the "baced Tilt" videos. Pay attention to head tilt and impact feeling.
Also watch his "one leg drill", this will help to slow the rt. hip/side for more powerful impact position.
