And when you say i can't afford any rare consoles, the fact is if you were a real gamer, you'd know the system does not matter, the games do. and 99% of chances point to "rare" systems being commercial flops and as such having very little good games. thus (from a gamer perspective) collecting them is useless and very, very sad

Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Heroes would never be close to being classified "old" Sonic games, as they are part of the "New Generation" sonic Bullshit that started with Sonic Adventure 1 and Sonic Pocket Adventure. However i will agree anything would be better than Crush40's poor Daytona USA rehash music.
I really love the sound of the Sonic Adventure series, very cool. But nothing beats the New Jack-inspired sounds of Sonic 3 and the like. All you have to do is listen to Hydrocity Zone Act 1 to hear all the New Jack influence.
If I had something to do it with, I'd make a remix of Springyard Zone (Sonic 1) and the 2-player Casino Night Zone (Sonic 2) with all the sounds of the New Jack Swing.
