As far as I know, you don't get a gravestone should you die. And so yeah you'd lose most of your stuff.

As long as you have one stat fairly high, you should be ok. If you have like 80 strength it might do, but I'm not sure. Just use as many super potions as you can.

And you get the "barrow" gloves after the fights, by the way - they cost 100k I think
