  • Girl didn't go anywhere without her purse.

  • I.LOVE.THIS.WOMAN.

  • its 2011 and Bette is still the best !!!...Thanks bette for your movies

  • The answers she gave about her oscar and her age are two of many reasons why this woman is simply divine! She was the heart and soul, the meat and potatoes, of being a Woman and being a Performer, two concepts that actually meant something back in her day. She still is the heart and soul of those two concepts to those of us who understand it and haven't let it change with time.

  • Bette Davis is so charming and lovely! I absolutely love her personality and poise, her honesty. You could really have a conversation with her. There's so bullshit about her.

  • I love how she takes a little bow she was very curteous, which I love, not many stars like that now a days. Love Bette :) <3

  • Wow, what a class act!

  • Wow, Dick, that appearance by the incomparable Ms. Davis was well worth seeing. The 1960's is my favorite era of Bette Davis. Love it when she lights up.

  • Love her honesty!

  • dear old bette , always so candid and humourous. how beautiful she looks here.

  • I admire how she admitted her age - she was a very impressive lady, she had a fascinating, remarkable face with a special charm and incredibly pretty eyes and I really enjoy to watch her face, but she always seemed me to be older than she actually was... (but I don't mean it badly, personally I adore to see age,so I like if poeple look older, it adds charisma for me :-) and Bette was dangerously charismatic!!! )

  • @Etheline hi lucie, looks like you got to this one before me. isnt she just fabulous?.

  • @2504marcus Hi :-) She was!!!! I love the way how she says: Correct :-D

  • fantastic! I really enjoyed that.

  • Fans of the predecessor to this show, What's My Line, probably already know that Arlene Francis was the same age as Bette Davis.

  • I wonder if anybody else has ever admitted their Oscar was not warranted. She's absolutely right, but I'll bet nobody else has ever been so frank about their own work. I could name a few...

  • That was her charm, behind the temperment was the truth, or at least as she saw it, and that why she was so respected.

  • Women of the past have such grace and beauty. I find them sexy! Very hot!

Women of today are vulgar and slutty. Some of them are loud and obnoxious. No wonder men are scared.

  • @OS253 I SOOOO agree!

  • "Out of spite we didn't have a feud." Oh, that's terrific. She seems swell.

  • this stuff is gold; shame about the sound.

  • WOW! Thanks so much for this! Thanks to people like you, people like me who were not alive in the Golden Age of Hollywood (Bette died the year before I was born) have the opportunity to see these clips! I love Bette so thank you so much!

  • She passed a year before I was born too.

If only we could've built a time machine to live a day in the Golden Age of Hollywood, just to see how glorious and determined those actors worked. It wasn't about glamor and admiration for Bette Davis. It was more about the craft and the work itself. She wanted to be remembered more than just admired.

  • These days celebs have so much to hide, affairs, drugs, cosmetic surgery, they take 10 minutes to answer the simplest question "Honestly"

  • Mae West, in the Las Vegas years, was clever enough to give herself a temporary facelift with the elastic chin strap of her enormous feathered hats.

  • In those days, when wigs first became popular, the makeup folks used to use netting to pull up necks and throats of aging actresses, (ZsaZsa too) and pull and secure it at the top of the head. Then then put base and powder over the exposed neck part, and covered all net 'architecture' with the wig.

OMG when dod I become such a bitch>

I'm sure Bette would LOVE me.

  • Seeing the host and guest light ciggies on air, is like a bucket of cold water in the face nowadays.

  • These are all answered the way John Daly would answer them.

  • I just love these old clips...I was not alive during Miss Davis' hey day, so I find this fascinating. She seems very genuine with her answers...What a true movie star!!

  • What an iconic laugh.

  • wow these questions are dead on, and u can see she's not trying to be callous

  • So what does she think of The Beatles?

  • that they're fabulous! watch part two...

  • this woman WAS IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!None will compare to her EVER.Iam only 27 but feel like if I knew her.

  • I couldn't agree with you more. Class, class, class. That's all I can even say.

  • i'm sure she was my mother in another life... no, my sister. wow. i'm only 23 haha, but hey, i love her.

  • love her! she's absolutely the best, thank you for posting this.

  • couldn't agree more!

  • I agree;Bette was in a league of her own.Fabulous actress.

  • Bette Davis never had a hang up about age`

she dwelt more on her acting ability` playing old age characters was comfortable for her, but most actress,s would fear such roles.

  • This lady was really before her time. She played older characters so often, and throughout a lot of the 1960s, that we didn't often get to see what an attractive middle-aged woman she was.

  • Wow a young Betsy Palmer!! Betsy was the original killer in the first Friday the 13th.

  • Great fun to watch. Bravo for telling the truth about age. I agree, it's quite silly to lie. I don't understand when people say it's none of anybody's business. If we live long enough, we're gonna get older. We're gonna look older, duh!! and who cares anyway?? She's quite a little lady. Thanks for post.

  • Terrific -- watched this show all the time when I was a kid.

Imagine -- they are smoking during a TV show!! Now a cigarette can't be advertised on TV. Somehow I watched people like this smoking on TV and never took up the habit. Just proves you can admire someone but not necessarily adopt their habits as your own.

Love BD's responses to the questions.

  • This ROCKS! Thanks so much, I love watching stuff like this!
