@kujyou3t He probably used R4DS to emulate on his DS and Earthbound was an SNES game not for NES but it did have it's predecessor Mother but I believe it only saw a Japanese release.

@AlyakEevee It's quite alright, not many people know what a Flash Cart is. A Flash Cart is basically a fake cartridge in which games, or in this case, Emulators, are read off a Micro SD card. If your confused, I don't blame you. You can buy these Flash Carts online for about 30$ with a Micro SD card included.

Look up 'R4' on Youtube and that should answer some questions. If not, just ask me, i've been using flash carts for 4 years now :3

If anyone wants to know if this game is beatable on the latest version of SNEmulDS on Nintendo DSi, it is. For the most part it just has some minor graphic glitches. My source is CoolROM.com so there you go.

how did you get earthbound for ds, i thought they had no intention to release the game outside of japan. ohh i think i know how you are playing the game. at the start of your video i can see select rom and all that stuff so how did you get the rom on your ds, did you somehow transfer the rom from your computer onto your ds.

@animedude752 That is exactly how. He has a modchip for the Nintendo DSi. He downloaded the ROM and emulator (SNEmulDS) put his micro SD into a USB on his computer and then transfered the ROM and emulator onto his micro SD, put his micro SD into his modchip and started playing right from his DSi. Although they already have released his game outside Japan, it's for the SNES and it was made in 1994. At the moment Nintendo has no future of releasing Mother, EarthBound, Mother 3 or any other sequels

@Dorgannn i no same story line but in m2 there are crosses on the hospital that was removed in the american release for obivious red cross reasons the tonsura brothers (runawy five) had black suits and deeply resembled the blues brothers so in earthbound they have colored suits not black.

then of course theres music problems with earthbound and not m2 the reason is if u go to japan 91% of the music is not copyrighted

Therefore only one official game called EarthBound is in existance and that game is Mother 2. A, English prototype of the original Mother game was found on the internet and was put on a ROM and titles EarthBound ZERO. EarthBound ZERO is the title you're talking about, but it was never a game officially released.

As far as I'm aware, there's been no remake of the Mother/Earthbound series for DS (however the producers occationally mention it). However, it did get remade for Game Advance, but that was only released in Japan.

We desperately need a remake of the series for the west. Nintendo are missing out on a forntune by only keeping it in Japan only. Besides, we've only ever had one of them over here.

@xsonicx08 I don't have my DS now, so I can't tell you exactly, but I switched Mode 3 to Squish to make the menus fit. If that's not the problem, just mess with the options till it works, that's what I did.
