Bonds, in a sense, is the most tragic of the men I've seen on lockup. Granted, most of these guys are scum and are in there for a reason, but most of them come from impoverished, miserable backgrounds. Judging by his parents and his own words, Bonds was given every opportunity as a middle class kid with two parents who obviously care a lot about him since they drove 3 hours to see his ass. Yet he ends up there. Sad.

Sure he looks like he had hard working parents and a decent middle-class life, but how do you know where he was raised, or by whom, how do you know he wasn't pressured into joining a gang when he was young, or how early he was convicted of his crimes. without knowing the details, it's hard to judge.

Bonds, in a sense, is the most tragic of the men I've seen on lockup. Granted, most of these guys are scum and are in there for a reason, but most of them come from impoverished, miserable backgrounds. Judging by his parents and his own words, Bonds was given every opportunity as a middle class kid with two parents who obviously care a lot about him since they drove 3 hours to see his ass. Yet he ends up there. Sad.

@natevines I mostly agree with what you're saying, but we don't know the circumstances of his life or his arrest, and people make mistakes. Sure he looks like he had hard working parents and a decent middle-class life, but how do you know where he was raised, or by whom, how do you know he wasn't pressured into joining a gang when he was young, or how early he was convicted of his crimes. without knowing the details, it's hard to judge.

So, they were there and helped a man kill three people.
