I also feel that the man in question should have escaped prison for his action. Especially in school environments, I blanch when bullied children who are pathetically ignored by teachers/administrators are treated as degenerates if they finally punch the living f--k out of their tormentors. Normal affection is treated as obscene; bullying is "kids will be kids."

In the 80's, violence was at it's peak in America. Then it dropped drastically in the 90's. One of the best explanations for this is that in the early 70's abortion became legal, the people who did not want children didn't have them, meaning they didn't have children to abuse who would later become criminals. These experiments were conducted to make psychology a "hard" science and provided nothing productive to this branch of research. All advancment is done thru clinical research on humans. These experiments continue today making millions for researchers, and universities. Animal comparative psychology is a travesty.

The alternative is isolation...and derealization.,,and psychosis.All humans need contact and it can be very healing. People are reslient in ways we may never understand.

most psychologists may say it's too late for that kind of therapy in adults. not to say prison is the best option at all.
