well, mesprit is only sometimes easy 2 catch. other times its insanely hard! but mesprit is a roaming, and roming legendaries are tricky 2 catch...

ive got a "tip" for u all. well, its not really a tip but whatever. so, if u try 2 catch a legendary and get 3 shakes but then it breaks free, u r either A) not gonna catch it or B) itll take a really long time. ive seen it happen, try it if u dont believe me

Theres a very good way to catch this thing. Use a ghost type. That type will be immune to Azelf's main attack, swift. I personally used Rotom. Whenever it used future sight, I just used substitute so that it wouldn't kill me. It took around 3 tries. (BTW, I was using pokeballs.)

You can easily use Giratina to its avantage with it being a Ghost type and not effected by an Uproar if I remember right from when I first played this game, I am replaying it for fun. =) Love the Distortion World too much.

I use a probopass to paralyze it and then weaken it. Afterwards, an easy way to stall is to bring 2 or 3 ghost pokemon with you (e.g gastly, duskull, drifloon). Only future sight can hit (swift and uproar won't hit). They can use flash to lower accuracy. I can just keep reviving the ghost pokemon as needed. This way, azelf can't sweep your team even with 3 nasty plots.
