This movie was so fuckin bad that as a Punisher fan myself, i hope they never make another film adaptation. The last saving grace that the Punisher might have is the fact that Marvel Studios is getting the rights to the character so maybe there is hope. I think they should just create a tv show out of the Punisher and put it on FX or HBO.
The Punisher is such a tragic character. Dragged in to a world where Frank Castle doesn't want to be in. His family killed by the very people he didn't want anything to do with.
All the Punishment Frank carries out is (i think) his way of saying sorry to his family for not protecting them. Being the Punisher so what happened to him never happens to anyone else.

@CountOrlock i believe that there are many characters in comics who could make phenominal movies , they just have bad writers , the punisher could have been great if it had a better story i guess , but i havent seen the movie lol , im just usuming that the story sucks...

I am a criminal justice Major and 1 of my classes dealt with gunshot wounds to the body. There were very graphically intense photos and the. I can tell you with 100 percent certainty that handgun wounds to the head DO NOT Behave like they did in this "movie" Peoples heads do not explode when you shoot them in the face with a 45.

Sure he doesnt have superpowers, sure he doesnt put on a full body costume and sure...he doesnt have a love life. But he is one dark character with a clear sense of motivation: Punishment, other heroes get mixed up in stuff that some people just dont take an interest in. Sure he may seem simple, but come on. It's just my opinion is all.

He is a better character than ‘’the larger'' ones as he is realistic and doesn’t have any superpowers and has to rely on military training. It doesn't matter that miami has crime in real life, on film it looks like a bright and sunny and happy. that 2004 piece of garbage broke even because they made it palatable to mainstream audiences (with weak-ass violence and a soundtrack with bands like saliva. do you remember saliva? what an awful trend in popular music). war zone didn't break even because it was made to appeal to fans of the comic book, which narrowed their audience quite a bit. Despite the realistic, graphic violence... this movie still blew the big one.
Punisher is just another character that should just be a supporting character for a larger one.
