If you are speaking about internal finishing details and rust resistance, I must admit that Alfas were not very reliable, but you should remember that they were as fast as the more expensive and bigger competitors (BMW, Mercedes,etc.). Moreover, the Alfas engines had a magnificent attitude to stand the overwarming during the races, so that the usually kept on racing even when the competitors retired due to technical problems. Believe me, man, ALFA IS NOT A RED PAINTED FIAT!!!!!!!!!!

I've worked on a lot of these cars, and to be honest, they're rubbish. The GTA's do look nice, though, not as trash as the Spyder Veloces.

Yes, sorry. I've worked on a lot of Alfa Romeo's in the past, and usually I love most all cars, but most older Alfa's just aren't any good, in my opinion. A pain to work on, and not fun to drive, especially Spyder Vels

Usuallly all the people that have tried Alfa's like Giulia GT and Spider They have a good opinion...

Old Alfa Romeo's had good drive feeling,good stering and handling.

I suppose so. The people that owned them tended to like them :) I just never found them to be very enjoyable. Too heavy, poor suspension design, etc. But everyone likes different things :)

Fair enough if you've worked with them. I think though, that most enthusiasts realsize that there are 'better' cars out there. Still, Alfa Romeo, is all about the heart and not the head, otherwise mugs like me wouldn't drive them :)
