  • the drummer is Alan Whitehead NOT Dougie Henderson

  • @neptunedownunder Sorry! Cool beat Alan.

  • Absolutely GREAT video! Wonderful song! I've just recently stumbled upon The Marmalade, and I dig it. Keep up the good work!

  • @PimpMilkySaysThis Fore the record its Alan Whitehead on drums..I know..its me

  • @neptunedownunder Great to meet you! Great drumming!!

  • @neptunedownunder What a mistake! Sorry Alan.

  • Great track taken from the 1971 album 'Songs' - this album shows The Marmalade at their very best.

  • PLEASE join the Dean Ford Singer/Songwriter Facebook group to get our #s up! We're hoping Dean will do a live chat. Listen to Reflections of my Life and remember what a great Singer/Songwriter he is. Jimi Hendricks said he had the best song of 1967. Then, INVITE YOUR FRIENDS TOO! THANK YOU!

  • sounds kinda like "sweet leaf" by black sabbath... sweet leaf was "Released, July 21, 1971." Wonder when this was recorded? Were they influenced by sabb or vice versa??

  • @randy0987 @randy0987 Yes, the rift is similar but the rest is bit different methinks, it's unlikely Sabb was influenced by the Marms......and Hugh Nicholson wrote the song is cool songwriter, unlikely to plagiarize.

  • KYUSS, queens, FU MaNchu, cORROSION of conformity .............

I think this song right here is the birth of stoner rock!

kyuss is still the best though :)

  • did these guys write Hey Joe?

  • @yamaharocks1 No, I guess you know now. Hey Joe is traditional. No one knows it's origins, but the late Tim Rose who heard it in his childhood believes it is very old. Check out my new vid; Hey Joe Metamorphosis / Origins

  • @yamaharocks1 no but we did record it in 68

  • this song is in Harold & Kumar escape from Guantanamo Bay at the part with G.W. Bush

  • this is by far the best video on you tube

  • How is this song not more well known

  • Easy....generations are not going to delve into the past when they're into their own times. For example, the poster uploaded a video that has nothing to do with this group, case in point.

  • Yep, that's totally true. How many lesser known 20's 30's 40's 50's stars can ya name? Though I did use all my marms pics up on my early vids. Now I'm just combining my fav sounds with fav totty and other stuff.......

  • Hey...who's that first chick? wheres that clip from?

  • love this from songs album(any chance of lovely nights}nice ballad with nice guitar solo like this.

  • Will do Dissy, am doing 'Hey Joe' now (when I get time!) but will do lovely nights after that.

I does like the Marms you see.......
