How about raising your kids to make better choices overall so you can really trust them, instead of putting up all these limitations?
In my opinion, parents are becoming too dependent on child block and parental controls and some are probably using them as a shortcut instead of actually teaching their kids what's right and wrong in the first place.

The predator scare by the media still didn't confront the major issue, teens trying to have sex with strangers. I mean for the conversion to become and continue to be sexual you have to have a willing participant saying 'Yes", which takes out "the victimization" aspect of the word predator. Parents need to stop worrying. The world isnt that dangerous. Your kid isnt going to get a facebook profile and the next day get molested, its just the shock and awe media that makes you think that it happens all the time. Also if your kid is getting bullied in school, encourage him to beat the shit out the bully. He will get suspended for a week but from then on nobody will EVER mess with him because they know he is not a pushover.

I highly doubt that if a child of yours had come into contact with a criminal by any of these means that you would treat the matter so lightly.

Parents should watch over there kids and make sure they don't do anything that could get them into trouble. But, the extremes these videos go to are ridiculous. You don't need to watch over your kids shoulder, or spy on sent and recieved phone calls and text messages. Simply, make sure your child knows what the dangers of doing bad things are and if you don't think your child is mature enough, don't get them a cell phone.
