i love lucas black's accent. as i got older i often wondered why he wasn't in more movies even though he has a handful of accredited work to his name and found out it was because he would only do movies that allowed him to speak with his authentic southern accent. talk about loyal to your roots. i adored him in this movie. such a well told story. i wanted a horse of my own after i saw this movie and even though my fam had enough money to get one my mom refused. my feelings were so hurt.

Great movie, connor and his grandma's situation reminds me of mine and my mother's when I was younger and even now that im in my early 20s. My dad passed away so she had to work 24/7 when I was around connor's age. Then I grew up and things are a little different, Amazing movie, it teaches you real things that happen in real life.
