He was serving a 2 year ban for testing positive for Nandrolone. He also had back injuries which he seems to have overcome during his ban. He is now looking good to be back in his best form for Beijing.
In Novenber 2004 he was operated on spine.If ljdougallit was right about positive testing,Kolecki would not start in European Championship in May 2006.Problems of Nandrolon were caused by taking medicines for spine.
He was positive June 26 2004, and missed the Olympics because of it. I hope he wins in Beijing, there are not many guys at the moment capable of totalling 400kg.

And it's only actually 219kg on the bar, you can just see the blue 2kg plates on the end of the bar, even though the scoreboard shows 220.
