What's funny is that the solo on the original recording is a studio guitarist...he was a white dude from england...same with some of the more distinctive keyboard parts on the "Catch A Fire Album"
my favourite song! i found this clip in the related videos when i was checking out Bob Marley & The Wailers BBC 1973 'Concrete Jungle' so frikking good!! this version is pretty dang good too..... thanks for sharing
Its probably me, but I cant appreciate those background singers. Their voices are fine, just don't understand why they do the stripper dance or something similar to it. I like them classy like Bob's were. :)
I think what you are seeing in their dance is African Influence. As a black women when I listen to reggae or any music I don't do the lastest most popular moves but the moves my soul knows, see'en.
I was thinking the same thing. Normally it's Stephen who sounds most like Bob, But in this song, on this day Jr hits all the right notes, Jr gong gave bonaroo is all that day
dont you even know what your talking about? in the marley brothers he'z the one who got hiz fathers voice. and dont get me wrong. i red some articles about that too and documentary so SHUT THE FUCK UP!
It feels good to know, that there´re still some talented musicans out there, sounds original like the wailers :D

Nenhum sol vai brilhar no meu dia hoje
A alta lua amarelada não sairá pra brincar
A escuridão tem coberto minha luz
E transformou meu dia em noite
Agora aonde o amor está e pode ser encontrado?

He was from nashville and he played country. You cann hear it in the solo.
pimpspop 2 years ago
You are very correct. The extra key and git tracks were added in England, but the musicians were from the US.
oops.

damian is not really a singer... hes a better dj(dancehall rapper) than singer even though he doesnt sound bad
morenaso1 4 years ago
i dont know why ppl gave u thumbs down youre right he is a dj more so than a singer, but he isnt doing too bada job here singing.
carsonh 3 years ago
I know right. Hes a dj, but i like his singing voice too.
morenaso1 3 years ago
hes not a dj. ur confused dj with "Deejaying".
search for Deejaying on WIkipedia.
"Toasting, chatting, or deejaying is the act of talking or chanting, usually in a monotone melody, over a rhythm or beat. "
