This is the version that was on the album I bought in 1985 in Maine. I keep seeing references that this is the Canadian version. The American version is similar but doesn't have the Amadeus bio in the beginning of the song. This is the only version I heard until an hour ago,

This sounds like the version my radio used to play when the extended mix first came out. I think sometimes the shorter album cut is played to fill a gap or because this version gets too repetitive and can be a real drag if played too often.

Good version, though i think the sound quality reeks to high heaven. Sounds like someone is trying to adjust the volume to bring the thumpers to the forefront but doing a rather poor job of it.

This is, in my estimation, the greatest rock-and-roll song of the greatest rock-and-roll decade and the only version I care to listen to. this song was origanaly if i am right 13min.but it got cut around to different versions for radio stations and time or what ever the problem was.if one has a editing program.you can put the 13 min version or over12 plus min of it together from canadian version and europe version.

Ya we called the radio station immediately and played it back for them... they were at a loss.

We asked lots of questions and possibilites they shot them alll down.. in the end the recording scared my uncle so bad he erased it without my knowledge or permission to "protect" me. To this day it remains something that I am not happy about because it was the only hard evidence I have ever been able to get of anything odd that has happened to me.

I remember when this came out. For whatever reason, the radio stations were playing this version, while MTV and the late night video shows played the original unmixed. I don't think that's ever happened before or since.
