Its times like this when I realize how much this sport influences me...I met Shawn at UFC 129 right after the Hominik fight. He was a super cool guy especially considering his fighter just lost in a title fight...People always think that just GSP put Canada on the map for mma...But Shawn Tompkins played a big part aswell....RIP Shawn, the fans will miss you too.
this is truly a sad summer...so many people in the sports industry died...tragic ending to a great man...my friend had the opportunity to train with him...i unfortunately broke the news to him...he was devastated as many others were.. R.I.P Shawn Thompkins
