You don't have a clue! Where is Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix? Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin? Lights Out by UFO? Sticky Fingers by Rolling Stones? Achtung Baby by U2?
That explains it, you have six albums by Pink Floyd. Don't get me wrong, Meddle and Animals belong, the rest? No! That's right, Dark Side Of The Moon is overrated!

I just fell in love and now i can honestly say they have replaced all bands my favorite band. Thank you, and i really respect this list as well.
do people force themselves to like bob dylan?!? i dont get it..........he's a good poet BUT a horrible musician. Maybe my mom just tortured me with it too much as a kid. My dad simply says dylan = off key and i agree and then some.
P.S. I believe to each his own when it comes to music (and most other stuff),so im not bashing people for liking him. I just dont get the phenomenon that is dylan
@gunnerglenn1 oh yes? I don't think so. Only hipsters like you think that. And I love radiohead and OK Computer, but come on! Led Zeppelin is what this list needs.
My Favs not really in any particular order: The Replacements/Neil Young alone or with Crazy Horse/Buffalo Springfield/Love (Arthur Lee)/The Beatles/The Move/Smokey Robinson/Graham Parker and the Rumor/ Marshall Crenshaw/ Them/ David Bowie/Elvis Costello/ The Velvet Underground/ Crowded House/ Major Lance/ Roxy Music/Mary Wells/Gene Pitney/ The Impressions/Bob Dylan/Phil Ochs/Van Morrison/Jimi Hendrix / Dinosaur Jr/ Sam Cooke/The Smiths/Lloyd Cole/Todd Rundgren/ STP/Laura Nyro
I stopped about 2 minutes into this. Im glad you enjoy these records... you have some greats, but some i wouldnt put in the top 100,000. Thanks for the work of putting this together
It's an okay list, a lot of albums I never even heard of (Kula Shaker? Bob Schneider? Who now?) but still a pretty okay list. Would definitely not have Sigur Ros' album at #1 personally, but at least you mostly used albums that merit inclusion.

very good list im happy someone listened to the kings of leon before they got all shitty :) the only thing i didnt like was how low ziggy stardust was but you can't please everyone :P
im sorry but where is michael jackson on that list? surely the biggest selling album of all time (thriller) should be on that list. But instead at number one you got an album no ones heard of :S
My List: 1.Minutemen-Double Nickles on the Dime 2.Pink Floyd-The Dark Side of the Moon 3.Butthole Surfers-Locust Abortion Technician 4.Captain Beefheart-Trout Mask Replica 5.The Jesus Lizard-Goat 6.Dead Kennedys-Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables 7.Rage Against the Machine-Battle of Los Angeles 8.Sonic Youth-Daydream Nation 9.The Doors-The Doors 10.Napalm Death-Scum 11.Sex Pistols-Nevermind the Bollocks 12.Nirvana-Nevermind 13.Black Sabbath-Paranoid 14.The Boredoms-Super AE 15.Pearl Jam-Ten
1. Sgt. Pepper's- Beatles 2. Nevermind- Nirvana 3. Who's Next- The Who 4. London Calling- The Clash 5. Demon Days- Gorillaz 6. Dark Side of the Moon- Pink Floyd 7. Electric Ladyland- Jimi Hendrix 8. Siamese Dream- Smashing Pumpkins 9. Let it Bleed- Rolling Stones 10. Maggot Brain- Funkadellic 11. Blizzard of Oz- Ozzy Osbourne 12. The Wall- Pink Floyd 13. Rust in Peace- Megadeth That's my list
I guess being a Musician/Songwriter has something to do with it.But Pop music is just so much more fun & pleasing when your privy to ALL the different Innovators that make it. I just find that people can be so narrow in their taste when there is a whole world of fascinating musical science !To know

good call playing a sample from the album while it's on display. there is another good list going around that doesn't do that. Just has a rolling stones song playing over the lot
nevermind 24th, what the hell, was proper shocked at kings of leon third like, i love them but they dont really get much attention on stuff like this so that's good to see :)
Interesting list, Its different at least I will give you that. 1.Rubber Soul-The Beatles 2.Highway 61 Revisited-Bob Dylan 3.White Album-The Beatles 4.Dark Side Of The Moon-Pink Floyd 5.Jimi Hendrix-Are You Experienced 6.Clash-London Calling 7.Bob Dylan-Blood On The Tracks 8.Beatles-Revolver 9.Bruce Springsteen-Born To Run 10.Rolling Stones-Let It Bleed My Opinion
i would recomend-My Bloody Valentine- Loveless to anyone, prepare yourself for it 1st, someone told me to listen & i didnt expect what i heard, top 5 for me
yeh big pink floyd fan, darkside is amazing in headphones, no hip hop? theres plenty of classic hiphop albums ive heard, but im primarily guitar based music
People should stop making negative comments about your video, you posted the albums YOU liked, which is what matters.I'm just curious to see why you posted "Jazz"instead of "A Night At The Opera"?But I really loved that you included "Definitely Maybe"by Oasis!
I might not agree with some of your choices, but great list nonetheless. Its your list, and it should be respected!I thought you have put in "A Night At The Opera"by Queen,as well as other Queen albums.Glad you put "Defeinitely Maybe"by Oasis!
i was amazed to see a list with GODSPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR! You get 5 stars just for that... xD.... not really amazing seeing you put Sigur Ros as number 1. (which is awesome of course) i also liked you included more genres than most other lists.
STOP DOING LISTS OF PINK FLOYD; BEATLES AND ZEPPELIN ONLY PLEASE!.
Ok. Not bad. There's albums that definetly should be there. But without about, the guy who made the list is a prog rock fan. Listen to more music, different styles. THEN make a list. I can name you hundreds of albums that deserve a shot at being the greatest albums of all time. 50 aint enough. more like 1000. wers the stoner/thrash/shoegazer/grunge/and alot of other genres. but i gotta say, im happy you put close to the edge in there. Thats a classic not many ppl know about.
Blood on the tracks, The velvet underground & nico, Closer, Loveless, 69 love songs, Psychocandy, Astral weeks, Glory Box, OK computer, Ziggy stardust, Dark side of the moon, Exile on main street, What's going on, Oddesey & oracle, Pet sounds, Marquee moon, Remain in light, Strawberry jam, Tigermilk, Debut, London calling, Revolver, The kinks are the(..), The stone roses, Strange days, Transformer, Silver apples... only english pop, if not, it'll be too hard to do. ( i forgot some, i know)
You put U2 in your list and not a single Coldplay album? You should be hung from a crane and whipped on the balls with a 6" steel cable! Daily!
Oh... Add etch bath torture to that, I just noticed you even mentioned Alanis Morrisette... Remind me how much drugs you took before doing this again?
Your musical taste more diverse than most of these lists. I always have to laugh at selections I've never heard of(It's an age thing) like #4. Enjoyed.
definatly mayb shud ave been higher, wots the story ornin glory shud b der, another u2, chillies were very under rated, pixies shuda bin der sumwer, beach boys, no1 was a joke in my eyes, no offence, but a gud list over all!
I didn't mean to give you crap, but you posted the video and most people who do that do it to get feedback and comments from other users, so I was just giving mine. Not a horrible list, I have seen worse. I would definitely have included "London Calling" by the Clash as well. No Rolling Stones, jeez I just dont know what to say. "Let It Bleed" probably influenced half the albums on this list, but I am just more into 60's and 70's rock and really dont like the new stuff or 80's stuff.
Sorry not my list but you pick some good stuff. But gotta wonder some things, how Yoshimi is there but Soft Bulletin is not; how Oasis makes it but Stone Roses do not; how on earth Sigur Ros is your favorite album. Of course it's all personal taste.
How is Bob Dylan not in the Top 10? Do you realize that half the bands in the top 10 wouldnt exist without the album HIGHWAY 61 REVISITED? It is the most important album in history. Even my buddies who hate Dylan admit that. "Like A Rolling Stone" ushered in rock and roll and plugged America in. Seriously though AC/DC and not Bob Dylan? Highway 61 Revisited made Highway To Hell possible. Even though Blood On The Tracks is Dylans best. Also no Revolver here or Sgt Peppers from the beatles?
Sgt P was in the 20's, which made this list ludicrous enough. i agree about dylan and the absence of revolver. dude's showing his age, but at least he got it about 40-50% right.
it may of made the way but it just isnt one of my favs and i think you'll find that rock n roll existed before that song , but hey my top 100 songs has it in the list so see that to see i do appreciate it :)
Interesting list. Ignore any negative comments. Everyone has unique taste. I was very happy to see some sigur ros, radiohead, van morrison, flaming lips, as well as other classic rock gods. However, i think you should check out some Animal collective, mars volta, doors, coldplay, incubus, king crimson, kinks, grateful dead, rolling stones, violent femmes, and gorillaz. also check out some earlier system of a down, if you haven't already heard.
that is an appalling list. Kings of leon higher than the Beatles? About 7 Pink Floyd albums? OK Computer not in top ten? No Oasis album in the top ten? You are bizarre.

You're certainly entitled to your own preferences, but I'd pitch a lot of the ones I've never heard of to make room for:
"Parallel Lines" - Blondie
"Nilsson Schmilsson" - Nilsson
"Tapestry" - Carole King
"Band on the Run" - Wings
"The Ballad of Calico" - Kenny Rogers & the First Edition
"Dreams" - Grace Slick
"Life in the Foodchain" - Tonio K
"Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player" - Elton John
"Kimono My House" - Sparks

Nice list, dude! (but where's "Pet Sounds"?")
I'm working on one myself, I want to have 50 albums like this one.
garfield1319 3 years ago
pet sounds is at 13 if i remember corectly
tails4eva 3 years ago
I belive I replied on another comment, I saw Pet Sounds on the list. This is a misunderstanding.
garfield1319 3 years ago
Hey dude, latin american artists are also part of the world... ¬¬

I wouldn't put Agaetis Byrjun at 1 myself, but to see anyone else do it makes me happy! Modern classic.
Personally, the biggest difference were I to make a list would probably be about ten rap albums, but other than that I quite like most of your list.
aghaghaghagh 3 years ago
i would recomend-My Bloody Valentine- Loveless to anyone, prepare yourself for it 1st, someone told me to listen & i didnt expect what i heard, top 5 for me
mitzibishi 3 years ago
yeh big pink floyd fan, darkside is amazing in headphones, no hip hop? theres plenty of classic hiphop albums ive heard, but im primarily guitar based music

People should stop making negative comments about your video, you posted the albums YOU liked, which is what matters.I'm just curious to see why you posted "Jazz"instead of "A Night At The Opera"?But I really loved that you included "Definitely Maybe"by Oasis!
nema1218 3 years ago
I might not agree with some of your choices, but great list nonetheless. Its your list, and it should be respected!I thought you have put in "A Night At The Opera"by Queen,as well as other Queen albums.Glad you put "Defeinitely Maybe"by Oasis!
nema1218 3 years ago
Original list, it's ok, but Murmur? Automatic for the people?
Lynch45678 3 years ago
i was amazed to see a list with GODSPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR! You get 5 stars just for that... xD.... not really amazing seeing you put Sigur Ros as number 1. (which is awesome of course) i also liked you included more genres than most other lists.
STOP DOING LISTS OF PINK FLOYD; BEATLES AND ZEPPELIN ONLY PLEASE!.
budddda 3 years ago
Ok. Thats a classic not many ppl know about.
mimrozek 3 years ago
btw though. still not bad. just try to listen to more genres. and ull get abit more respect.

Oh. My. God.
You put U2 in your list and not a single Coldplay album? You should be hung from a crane and whipped on the balls with a 6" steel cable! Daily!
Oh... Add etch bath torture to that, I just noticed you even mentioned Alanis Morrisette... Remind me how much drugs you took before doing this again?
brainsare 3 years ago
ehmm yeah except that U2 is about 1500 times better than coldplay

Your musical taste more diverse than most of these lists. I always have to laugh at selections I've never heard of(It's an age thing) like #4. Enjoyed.

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS NOT IN THE TOP 10??? ARE YOU CRAZY.....VIVA I LOS PEPPERS...ALBUM by-the way-californication-stadium arcadium-bloo----......

Fuck all these lifless assholes, nice list, man. Very interesting choice for top Queen album too, one of my faves! And Sigur Ros ftw!
fuzziebear555 3 years ago

Also no Revolver here or Sgt Peppers from the beatles?
dylanhighway61 3 years ago
Sgt P was in the 20's, which made this list ludicrous enough. i agree about dylan and the absence of revolver. dude's showing his age, but at least he got it about 40-50% right.
swensev 3 years ago
it may of made the way but it just isnt one of my favs and i think you'll find that rock n roll existed before that song , but hey my top 100 songs has it in the list so see that to see i do appreciate it :)

Man, I thought I was the only person that knew about Sigur Ros.

interesting choice for number one. But revolver? exile on main street?
luvhenry 3 years ago
Interesting list. Ignore any negative comments. Everyone has unique taste. I was very happy to see some sigur ros, radiohead, van morrison, flaming lips, as well as other classic rock gods. However, i think you should check out some Animal collective, mars volta, doors, coldplay, incubus, king crimson, kinks, grateful dead, rolling stones, violent femmes, and gorillaz. also check out some earlier system of a down, if you haven't already heard.

ok computer is in the top ten num nuts
biv872003 3 years ago
that is an appalling list. Kings of leon higher than the Beatles? About 7 Pink Floyd albums? OK Computer not in top ten? No Oasis album in the top ten? You are bizarre.
