I dont understand!!I've been messing around for about 5 years on and off and now I want to learn the scales so I can actually jam with someone. I can pick up every piece of music out there on the bass by ear and learn which notes make each sound yet I can't seem to get how they relate to a specific scale help me brothers!!!
Hey man, that's really awsome!!! I understood a lot watching your vids but... could you please tell me, how can i slow them down, to get 100 % of your solos and simple lines)
man you're awesome i'm thinking of playing the bass again wich cheap bass do you recomend? i was thinking in peavey milestone jazz but i want to know ur opinion on the matter, thank you and great playing!
HI. What effects, EQ, amp and cab are you using in this video? I love the tone you have. Obviously a lot is coming from the F Jazz (what year is that?), but would be interested how you get that sweet tone.
@DivineWindOfTheSnow .......You are going to defend him? Thats fine..nothing wrong with that.....a true musician(in my opinion) would be about the music being....not the camera recording him play......Diving Wind of the Snow.....fuck off.....what do you play?
I have been inspired by your videos for quite some time now,i play bass in a blues band and your licks in A and descending E have helped add solos to my small but growing bucket of blues(",) I hope you wont sue me for copy-write infringement!?!? Greetings from Ireland
Bro honestly, I just ran into your vids like yesterday, and I couldn't fav. them all because I was going to sleep. You are a sick bassist. If anything I'll look up to you, I'll mention you on one of my Influences and Inspirations. Word!
@feverhood just don't only move upwards, use doublebeats occasionally, use "slower" notes, stops etc. Just try it. I'm at the beginning aswell, but nothing works better than trial and error.
Thank you soooo much I have been playing 20 years and just about 2 months back I found your vids I have improved more in the last 2 months than years on my own. You are now one of my major influences . Do you have a band that has cds or do you ever gig in the us?
i'll have to disagree with you on that one. metal bass can be a very difficult style to master, this is one example of a "metal" player, just look up.
Wow, you make it look and sound so easy and natural! I really like how you break it down and show us step by step how it's done. Makes me think can really do this.
I'm looking for a piece of equipment that has instruments in it so I can program the key, and have it play over a drum loop so I can practice jamming in those keys. Does anyone have any ideas?
marlowe, hope you can help me and poss others?. i now own the rebelhead 450 with 2x 10 cab and i also have a warwick 2x 10 cab to go with it. my main bass is a spector, and i was wondering if you could do a special on tc rebelhead setups!!!!! thank for all your u tube stuff its really helpful...happy christmas and a brill 2010. rob

feverhood 2 years ago 8
line a scale up with a root note and if you don't know what to do from there you should sell your bass
ace76543 2 years ago
@ace76543
do you just make your own creation from the scale's notes? im too sure myself.

@feverhood just don't only move upwards, use doublebeats occasionally, use "slower" notes, stops etc. Just try it. I'm at the beginning aswell, but nothing works better than trial and error.
