God im banging my head against the wall trying to find out which is harder, SEALs or PJ? I'm currently in recruitment process for SEAL's but am also talking with a Air Force recruiter... I just don't know what to do anymore. Help!?
Sir, 98 precent of people talk smack on Youtube and you have the courage do go threw with it. I wish you the best of luck in what ever choice you make. That being said, I am biased for good reasons, as a PJ you will be involved in technical CSAR and combat operations, to include natural disasters like Katrina. You'll aslo work with other branches special operation forces as well. Navy SEALs and Pararescuemen are cut from the same tree, both amazing qualities. Remeber, Don't give up
@SpyOpz94 It's difficult to say which one is harder. They both do very different things. You can't go wrong with either, obviously with all the media attention lately SEALs are more well known. But, you can't go wrong with either. And the beauty about the military, you can do both! Be a SEAL for a while then cross-train to the Air Force for Pararescue. Either way, with either job you will be working with the other. Good luck in your endeavors! You can message me if you have questions.
that big hill they're running up in the beginning is enchanted rock. thats ridiculous, i tried running up that with shorts and a tshirt and i couldnt. they've got like 70 pounds of stuff and they are doing it.
@weeeeed808 Never quit man. All my PJ buddies ascribe to the belief that if you're the man who can run all day non-stop, and perform calisthenics without a sweat, you'll do fine. Ignore trying to get a beach body, it'll only slow you down.
Your dream job doesnt look too promising with that screen name ..just saying cuz i would love to do this also but sadly im a pothead too for now. ONE DAY
any PJ's on here that can contact me, i have questions on trying to transfer from Army to Air Force straight into PJ school. no fakes, a real PJ or possibly a USAF recruiter. thanks SGT Witt
Give it up for the PJs!! one of the most elite group of brothers in the entire armed forces. These are the men of the USAF pararescue. Great insight into what indocs all about and training ideas. That others may live!! HOOYAHH!!
wow... this is one of the most motivating INDOC videos I've ever seen... I was in class 03-002 with Kyle Minshew. I was medically dropped on February 25th 2003. Not a good day for me. All I need to do is get corrective surgery and I can go back.
@Dblecheezburger depends on how pissed off they make the Cadre. Knew a guy who flicked off the cadre underwater. He was dropped for 2000 4 counts. Needless to say he was gone half the day.
im trying to become a PJ..i was going to do it in the first place but being young and in love i was stuck with TMO and now im trying to get into being a PJ..i think it would be the best feeling in the world to do somthing so amazing for our country and fellow troops..i go to the gym everyday but rly only do power type workouts..i do MMA for the cardio and cus its fun to fight..but what would be some workouts to start doing to make it "easier"
brings back some memories with TJ, and ssgt, wagner, and ssgt. young -- the summer of 75.. lackland, and fredericksburg tx. more flutter kicks and hello darlings in the dungeon then you'll ever know! and boy that pool was cold in underwater harassment.. i got to do it twice, cause i was a day behind from basic training. lol!
What song is that it gets me fuckin fired up. I'm so stoked to join the airforce only for pararescue. My original plan was Marine Corps all the way. GET SOME. but I don't want to be 0311 before I can tryout for recon. But PJs are certified badasses no joke.
Its more mental then Physical. (in the words of the cadre "you have to be crazy to want to do this job, were all alittle mad") Took use two hours to find this anwser when ask what makes a PJ.
What i did was the past test everyday, free weight wrestling workout, and some 50-meter underwater's. Med balls/kettel workouts are great. look at the PJ workout page.
Prepare all you want nothing will save you if you get injured. My advice go guard the'll let you recover and go back active won't.
Sorry bud. Seen a Rescue Swimmer and BUD Grade both blow the quite horn. And the DOD says it the hardest training in the enlisted side of the military. P.S. look up panama who rescued who. Prop's to all Special Ops, 75th, and US forces.
I think that all who even attempted this rigorous course should be proud that they attempted it and to those of you who finished you should be commended. ~one proud parent of one who tried. I'm thankful for the footage.
22000 views and only around 300 pararescueman.

@1t231Pararescue
seen or heard? Both SEALs and PJ's say
theirs is the hardest in the world, I think
they're both right. JTF2, South Korea UDT,
SAS, SASR, they're all very very hard.
