  • They should make a character of it in the next Elder Scrolls game xD

  • ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ did anyone notice he was wearing a skirt? ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

  • Thats a tortoise, thanks for comming out though

  • I would love me a keg of bear. Would go well with my cup of jews

  • @LazyLemming2 a keg of bear would be amazing whether it were on a tortoise or not holy cow. all lookin like a normal barrel and then paws bust out and you got this bear runnin around wearin a barrel like a broke guy in an old cartoon

  • CHAAAAAAARGE!

  • Looks like the Greek Turtle's are adapting well to the economy

  • That is adorable

  • The only thing that could make this more awesome is if that was a barrel of brandy or a keg of bear it was towing.

  • that's fabulous! I'll bet my leopard tortoise, Penny, might get a kick out of doing something similar one day. :D (once she's older)

She's very outgoing and loooves exploring. :)

  • Was this video shot at a renaissance festival?

  • @Mal3volution Probably, I don't think they had cameras back then.

  • i am in love with this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i take care of a sulcata tortoise (like this one, but mine is just a few years old)

i reaaaally want to make mine a sweet get up, also.

who did this?? i want to know them so our tortoises can meet!!

  • wait, was this at the ren faire in minnesota? the one by bloomington. there was definitely a tortise in a kilt pulling a small cart there. i was there two weeks ago.

  • REN FEST!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been twice this year already!

  • I LIKE TURTLES!

  • If you think this is funny, you'll love this one. GOGO is a jaw dropping green turtle running around London and getting its kicks off tourists like a pro street entertainer. You can find it all in my youtube channel.

  • Angus is a Tortoise. He has been doing education at the MN Renn Fest for at least 15 years.

For those showing concern, he is very well cared for and he is the one who chooses where and how long he walks. He leads the way and his escorts go with him to keep the path cleared. He is able to return to his resting place at any time he chooses, but usually has to be bribed with food to slow him down at all.

  • Warturtle :P

  • THiS IS TURTLE -- and that's it xD

but seriosly gives this turtle a knife and he'lls good to WAR , it doesn't need a shield , already have one

  • It is wearing a kilt.

  • I have to know what wonderful person cooked up that rig for the tortoise :D

  • animal cruelty

  • @ToxicSocksTube Turtois is not an animal! It's a kind of fish!

  • The best part about this is how the tortoise just follows the guy. Just keeps going, no leash or anything, right behind him.

  • I love the Kilt!!!

  • fucking nerd and wanker

  • @sociobalto0 I thought the last scene with Nicholas Cage was pretty good, although I think it was over-acted a little bit.

  • my world of warcraft char would be so jealous

  • that tortoise is dressed for war, its carrying supplies for the front

  • there's no way to describe how awesome is this!

  • So they make that all so the turtle can drag a can of beans or whatever?

  • @chocolatepuff718 Son, that is a mini keg. Being driven by a leprechaun. pulled by a tortoise, wearing a kilt, and carrying a bowie knife. You will show the proper respect for such a manly tortoise.

  • @tommenno LOL! This tortoise is dressed for war. I didn't see the bowie knife XD

  • El perfecto escudero

  • An Adamantaimai!

  • Pulgar arriba si viene de JAIDEFINICHON xd

  • @DarrellRafa kitty

  • Amazing! I love it's little kilt <3

  • (Correction, Tortoise)

  • LULZ, COMBAT TURTLE!!!!! WITH KNiFE! F3AR THE 100 YEAR OLD MUTANT NINJA TURTLE! xDD

  • Remember kids, turtles have flippers and tortoises have legs.

  • That's a WIN! That's a tortoise dragging a teeny tiny wagon cart win! Roll the next clip Steven!

  • lol

  • Viral

  • why

  • que hermoso pobre tortuga ! :P

  • Is that the one who's walking around the world? If so, way cool. I saw him fifty years ago when he passed through my hometown.

  • Cute

  • Cute

  • i like turtles.

  • That tortoise is there every year. She’s very well taken care of and she’s not abused. They don’t drag her around on a leash or prod her into going where they want her to. She either follows them, or when she decides she doesn’t feel like following them, they follow her. I always look forward to seeing her out there.

  • This is the most awesome thing I've ever seen!!!!!

  • I am now blinded by the sheer awesomeness.

  • Probably the same : ... ?v=5ZtjATY5CXc

  • THIS MUST BE MINE.

  • That's so cool.

  • My tortoise comes when I call him, but I'm sure he wouldn't follow me with all the grass there is to eat lol

  • This is a Sulcata Tortoise people, not a turtle :p

  • @cari48038 FYI: All tortoises are turtles. All turtles are not tortoises. Make sense?

  • I like turtles

  • That......is genius!

The Kilt is just icing on the cake!

  • I wish I had a Giant Tortoise to pull my chariot ;_;

  • Sulcatas are big ol' bulldozers. That cart isn't harming him in any way. They are also extremely stubborn creatures, and if he really didn't want to pull it, he wouldn't. I'm betting the vast majority of you idiots calling cruelty has never even met a Sulcata before, and have no idea what they are like.

  • @pyrbaby And in my experience sweet natured. The only one I've had the privilege to meet loved the top of it's head rubbed like a dog. Also had the chance to adopt one, though I did not since I didn't have a spare bedroom and outdoor property to adequately house it.

  • @StrangebirdE Agreed. I'm glad you didn't. I see a lot of these guys up for sale and adoption because people get them when they're small, and don't realize how big they will get, or what a HUGE commitment they are. They are incredibly sweet and mellow, unless you are a stranger on their territory. They are certainly characters though. I would love to own one someday, but for now I'll be happy with my redfoot tortoise. :-)

  • @pyrbaby It was about this size too. For all I know it's the same one as if this is the MN Renaissance Faire like someone commented earlier, it's only about 40-50 miles from here. From what I do know it found a home with an experience reptile owner.

  • This is gonna be on Tosh.O

  • The animal in question is a sulcatta tortoise. They naturally walk, especially the males. Also, being from the dessert, they do not require water. He is not pyramiding (since his shell is covered, how can you even tell?)

Please keep your charges of animal cruelty to yourselves until you know what you are talking about

  • @TortoiseTramp Thank you, I was typing a response to this end as you commented. Also I'd like to note I have extensive experience(15 years) with reptiles, mostly smaller turtle and tortoise species. What is going on in this video is akin to a dog wearing one of those canine pack harnesses and trotting along happily beside it's person on a hike. Please save your cries of animal abuse for actual cases of animal abuse!

  • Comment removed

  • That "funny turtle" is a tortoise, and its shell is pyramiding, meaning it is malnourished, dehydrated, or sick. It's not supposed to curve up at the end and be jagged. That's the only animal cruelty I see in the video. What it's doing is fucking awesome if you ask me.

  • @SparkyGjr It's not pyramiding that bad yet, but whoever owns that tortoise better take care of it better or else it will get a lot worse and the poor thing could die (and it won't be able to pull that wagon).

  • @SparkyGjr This video was taken at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. The tortoise there is a Sulcata named Angus, belonging to one of the workers at Como Cottage, which is run by the Minnesota Herpetological Society. I work there myself, and can assure you that not only is Angus NOT pyramiding at all (yes, the edges of the shell ARE supposed to spike like that), but he is very well taken care of. I see him every weekend, and if you see him without his costume on, his shell is quite healthy.

  • @HZJMee If you or anyone have any questions or concerns about Angus, please feel free to stop by and see us out at MNRF.

  • @HZJMee Good to know he's healthy.

  • ...your argument is invalid

  • It really concerns me how uneducated people are.

    "OMG THAT'S SO CRUEL"

Jesus, shut up. You don;t even know what you're talking about.

  • anyone know where this was taken?

  • thank you yes is a tortoise

  • so people are not okay with a turtle being essentially "dressed up"... but if someone puts clothes on a dog its cute and okay? wtf. Other than that rant :P this is pretty cool, I would have never though of that haha. Thanks for sending me here thinkgeek!

  • I find it somewhat amusing people look at this and see animal cruelty. Do you have any idea how much weight a tortoise that size could likely pull? Probably many times what this one here is managing. Also it seems pretty damn content to follow it's human about. Personally I've never known a tortoise to be so active and outgoing against it's will. Looks to me like a happy tortoise who really loves to just walk around, probably wondering what the heck that light tugging and funny noise are.

  • Now.. there is something you don't see every day.

  • Amazing.

  • Great A'Tuin! What happened to you!?

  • ooh, I see a remake of Ben Hur where the carts have spikey wheel slicers! Though the cart going over the barrier may be a challenge. looks like the Tortoise is already armored against dogs and wheel spikes.

  • thumbs up is thinkgeek sent you here

  • I bet he gets lots of attention and treats. :) too cute. Great addition to your costume I'm sure!

  • inb4 10,000 morons cry about animals. This was awesome and a half.

  • This would be at the MN RenFest

  • @Lumenae ಠ_ಠ Really?

  • Hey! I bet the keeper feeds his tortoise well....The Tortoise is happy to have a function in life.

  • Looks like a tortoise, not a turtle... cool, though!

  • "no description available"

that sums it up pretty well

  • @signboyy that cart looks like it weighs maybe a pound, if that. you could strap it to a baby and it could keep crawling.

  • @katikar1 Exactly, I can't speak for what the turtle does elsewhere, but it looks happy and healthy in this video. People will see something tragic in anything though. Apparently it makes them feel special.

  • @StrangebirdE

some people are indifferent to the suffering of animals or other people because they feel special. they are psychotic nazi thugs.

  • @signboyy ಠ_ಠ

  • epic!

  • tooo cute!! :D except I think that's a tortoise

  • @crazyorangezebra All tortoises are turtles but all turtles are not tortoises. Make sense?
