very impressive, I have a box full of crap I have made, I just recently found these videos online to help... 2 questions where did you get the stone< and would you have to start with a piece that large to get the end result.
There for a while I thopught I was the only one who ground that much. I think its the key to successful knapping. One thin edge will jack up a point in a second!
I knapped some points about 20 years ago. at that time the internet hadn't been invented yet! I never knew about grinding. I can see what it does after watching you guys. I have a few nodules of Alabates flint from north of Amarillo, but have not done anything with them. probably should heat them before I try something big
@rockstar7600 Hi, the grinding of the edges strengthens them so that the edger does not shatter when impacted.
