Nice Scratching bro I'm just learning to scratch right now.. I really like your 3700's that's what I wanna go with next I have an NS7 right now and I like the motorized platters that's why I'm going for the Denon's over Pioneer CDJs... Great Video !!
@whoissunsetter If I remember correctly the 3700's had some cue drift back then. I can't remember if I cured it with the cd update or if its still a problem, but be aware of that!
@DjReserve1 when you listen to it, you will see how bad you were, and what you can improve on. It only gets better from there. Let your friends listen, they will say the same thing as you practice more, it will show. Online now is a great source for scratching. free up those wrists and fingers. prac and get the crab down. then get your clicks and orbits down. make those your long term goals. everything else is a lot easier, so work your way up to those. Most of all, have fun with it.
Quick question for you. Was there a big weight difference in terms of transporting the S3700s and the 57 vs the 1200s and the 57. I have a 57 and two 1200s.. but with the coffin, its just too heavy for me bymyself to transport. Thanks.
@KramB562 Very good question, I once had the same question. What I did is find the weight of all equip. The 1200's and the s3700 are near close. So you wouldn't see a drastic weight change. Get rid of the coffin, and get single flight cases for all the equip. Thats the lightest way. Also very rare and hard to find, but there are single flight cases that can be stacked on to each other to make a handtruck with wheels. I saw it once in my life but it was official
@DjReserve1, you are incorrect in your weight calculations. With quick Google search... a Tech 1200 weighs around 30 lbs (give or take), the Denon 3700 about 15lbs (20lbs if you add in shipping box with padding, audio cables and instruction manual). In other words, two 3700's with a mixer, would be around the same weight as only one Technics 1200 and mixer (a weight savings of nearly 30lbs).
@KramB562 - very true about the coffin case for 1200's. I also had the oddyssey flight coffin case with the laptop stand and shelf for the serato interface. I needed myself and another person just to offload it from my dj equipment table to a hand truck....then when I got into the club/bar - I also need another pair of hands to lift the darn thing onto my dj table. Separate cases for 1200's are the way to go. They do make separate single cases for for large format CD players like Reserves.
@foulmouthc1 Of course, I started serato with 1200's.. I have literraly tried every equipment out. i mean everything... At the end of the day, I have sold it all and kept my 12's and my 57sl.. I'm actually thinking of selling it and settling down with my vci as it gets the job done and easy to carry.
But if I had to go into battle and I had a choice of which equipment I had keep to fight. I would, with no hesitation pick the 1200's and 57. No doubt about it
@bizzyfingers UPS labels, one side is sticky, so i cut it out and put em on my blue records. If i had spongebob stickers , I wouldve used those instead.
@djeldog I brought the ns7 I sold it a week later. I'm going to admit the ns7 sounds alot better, feels soo right. For me it wasn't because I have big fat ass hands. Seems like 9inch+ is the way to go for me. Ns7 is a great machine no doubt about it.
Yeah that's my only gripe to. If the NS7 had a 9" platter they have it on lock without a doubt. I really like the S3700 also but there isn't enough torque there for me. And after playing on the V7 I notice it even more on the 3700. The motor's just not as strong. This is just my opinion though and others might have a different feel.
@daniellekingdjk Your welcome anytime, if your still having trouble getting them just msg me, I can go buy em for you and then ship em out to you. peace n love
@daniellekingdjk I don't want to violate or cross anylines but I will spell it out for you (idj...now) dot com.... or you can go to their store if your in NYC.
@sexyself45 Well that depends.. I mean I have to admit, It's very hard to get used to non moving platters, but for the new 3700's the record is larger and because of that you can move you hand futher away from the spindle. Further away means theres alot of more movement.. The 3500's are great, but the scratches sounds so digital, and just isn't the same. 3700's comes closest to anything I have played with. also the cdj's.. but I'm not into non moving platters.
i had 3500s and they are great, but model s3500 has got problems with memory limit.I have got s3700 and difference is huge.more features, vinyl feeling is so true, usb, midi contol.

@thepumpkin1979 know what?
DjReserve1 1 year ago
@demiro123, the Denon 3700 has a 9" platter. The older Denon decks like the 5500/3500/5000/3000 all had 7" platters.

@CoroaEntertainment I think we are both wrong. I decided to do some more research.
here are the facts...oh and for the record we are talking about the equipment it self not boxes with shipping..
A Mk2 weighs 26.5lb (12 kg) oddy single turntable flight Weighs: 21 lbs =47.5 lbs
denon 3700 weighs 20lbs and oddy single cd flight weighs 15pounds = 35 lbs
sorry or the incorrect info people!

You need to check out the Numark NS7 or V7. They will have you changing your mind about which deck has the best vinyl emulation and scratch realism.

no blue records are brought seperately, blue records were only included when these first were out for demo's.
the lines are stickers you can make on your own. I hope that helps.
