I used Sebastian Bach's likeness and drew a pretty cool Elric from it back in 1990 when he had that slender look..I just made his hair white and gave him those albino red eyes and presto! -he was beautiful & worked well as a drawing but he's a rock star -not an actor. The Elven prince from Hellboy is the man now!

Maybe I'm just a moron, but doesn't Stormbringer seem to change shape a lot? Sometimes, it's illustrated to look like a claymore, other times a fantasy sword; in some images it's a two-handed weapon, in others, it's one-handed. Is it just the artist, or is the blade itself a shapeshifter?
@saikyoryu Well it is a living sword forged from absolute chaos. One imagines that it could shape-shift if it wanted to. Or at least that's the explanation for why artists keep drawing it differently.
For the longest time, I kept thinking it said "one-eyed schoolgirl" instead of "red-eyed screaming ghoul". While the latter actually makes sense, it makes me lol to imagine Elric in a short skirt and eyepatch, carrying textbooks.

Yes, they borrowed it (and their name) from the books on which this song is based. That image is called "Stormbringer" from the book by the same name. Painted by Michael Whelan.

Oh it sure brings back memories to my days in the middle of the Atlantic ovean sailing between Keflavik, Iceland and Norfolk, Va back in these days we were sailing in heavy and ruff seas south east of Greenland in the middle of the winter :) yeah that song has the same character as the wind and the sea energy.

Maybe I'm just a moron, but doesn't Stormbringer seem to change shape a lot? Sometimes, it's illustrated to look like a claymore, other times a fantasy sword; in some images it's a two-handed weapon, in others, it's one-handed. Is it just the artist, or is the blade itself a shapeshifter?

For the longest time, I kept thinking it said "one-eyed schoolgirl" instead of "red-eyed screaming ghoul". While the latter actually makes sense, it makes me lol to imagine Elric in a short skirt and eyepatch, carrying textbooks.

Well done mate, it's about time someone made a vid of elric to this song, I've been meanin too in my long list of projects. Hawkwind wrote a few more songs about Elric & that mid 80's album was also co-writen by Micheal Moorcock.
Rodney Matthews has painted loads of images from the books & some of those included are his.
Joe Satriani wrote a tune about The Hill of the Skull on Surfing with the Alien.

Somebody should write a story, an alternate universe sort of thing, where Elric and Stormbringer find themselves in Tolkien's Middle Earth. Elric and Stormbringer vs Sauron and The One Ring.
Elric and Gandalf and Sauron, Stormbringer *and* Glamdring the Foe Hammer - all in the same pages,..

@SororThothma i could actualy try. if Sauron doesn't have the ring of course. with it Sauron would be invincible. but somewhere before it is found, someday when Sauron only has the dark castle Dolguldur . somewhere in the time of Hobbit. yes it would have a chance. but setting loose the Kin Slayer in Tolkiens world... Gandalf is no match. maybe the Nine riders are.

@SororThothma That is almost impossible since Elric's creator (Michael Moorcock) isn't very fond to Tolkien's work, actually Elric's stories try to be some kind of "Antithesis" to books like LOTR.
