i agree with the basic premise; however i dont believe passover or any other type of sacrifice has anything to do with obeying the Law.

When Jesus resurrected that did away with the need for any other type of sacrifice

@gannable While Jesus did say he looks forward to eating the Passover again and drinking the wine again in the Kingdom and told the disciples to eat the bread and drink the wine in remembrance of him each year, it is also clear Jesus was the final sacrifice. So today when we observe Passover, it is as a memorial only. Did I indicate we should do sacrifice in the video? If so, I'll delete it and reuploaded an edited version.

I don't think the marks been implemented yet, be'coz right now most ppl are able to worship how they please. In Rev 13:1-15 it speaks of a beast rising up outta the sea and giving power to a 2nd beast that does wonders & makes an image seem to come to life, & all who will not worship it will be killed. Rev 13:16-18 And then the mark is implemented. I believe this is part of the coming UN's system of 1 world govmnt & 1 religion. Just my opine, but I'm still reading & learning GOD's word. Peace2U

Salvation to eternal life sets us free from the bondage of sin and death.

See, the penalty for sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through what Jesus did FOR us.

Jesus completed Salvation for us.

So, what then, should we not bother trying to do what God says then?

No no no, to the contrary.

Jesus gave us Salvation from death, but we ESTABLISH God's Law.

You are "saved" by grace, through faith, NOT of works of God's Holy Law.

Let's say you get a speeding ticket and I step up and pay the penalty for you, $100.

Then you get 5 more tickets and I just keep on paying the penalty for you.

This is "grace".

So, is the Law therefore abolished?

Of course NOT, but we are SAVED from the penalty OF IT.

Still, God's Law is perfect and we still uphold it!

@tetrahydroscope there is absolutely nothing wrong with you doubting you can keep the Law this is why Jesus was sent as our sacrifice we CAN NOT keep the Law should we try? yes matter of fact if we love Jesus we will WANT to try but if we could keep the Law we could've saved ourselves and wouldn't need a savior

@evewale I just hope I am worthy of regeneration. My lifestyle has certainly changed, but not nearly enough. I am just happy to known that Christ is Lord and is Risen. I am grateful for that, and it could be the SSN, because that is forced on us. Our fictional entity is created right when we are born.

You mean when Jesus returns and we are changed from mortal to immortal, at the first resurrection, or resurrected as humans again (reincarnated! wow, you won't hear that one taught this sunday) at the SECOND resurrection.

I've had children with in the past 9 yrs 3 of them and a number was never forced on them but I was asked if I wanted to give them one and given an application btw none of us is worthy

The point is as much as we try we will not succeed PERFECTLY that was the reason for a savior if we could achieve the law on our own we would not need a savior BUT we should continue 2 try 2 keep the law yet our works are as filthy rags & trying to keep the law will not gain us salvation the work of Jesus on the cross and our full trust in his work is what gives us that gift of salvation

It's just that some poeple think the 10 commandments were nailed to the cross, whereas it was the handwring of ordinances written by Moses, or the ceremonial law that was against us, that was nailed to the cross. Jesus forgave the adulterous woman, but said "Go, and sin no more". We can't know what sin is though, without the Law.

We mayl slip up and sin through infirmities and temptations etc., but it's entirely another thing when some pastors just give the liscence to sin, saying we can't keep the law so don't even bother trying, We are most certainly expected to establish the Law through our faith/

We establish God's Law, just not animal sacrifices for the express reason of atonement for sins; we keep God's Law, not for OUR OWN justification, but because we are God's people.

Jesus completed Salvation for us.

We cannot earn it through our deeds.

Yes, a minute or two ago i just saw an advertisement saying "EARN the degree you ALWAYS wanted", and it immediately made me think of how there is just NO WAY that we can earn our way to Salvation, and how deluded i was to ever think i was earning my way to it. We'd be lost and in hell without what Jesus did for us.

it also says somewhere "the deception will be so great that even the Elect will fail" so seems like we're all doomed. Another thought, what if being 'resurrected' means to reincarnate, thus we won't even remember stuff we've learned, kind of pointless.

It was Jesus who said that.

"22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if [it were] possible, even the elect."

So, we're not all doomed. *If it were possible* even the "Elect".

In other words, these lying signs and wonders are going to be so great that the whole world will be deceived by it.

Many speculate it will be a fake alien arrival, of the fallen ones.

Who knows, but what ever it is will be a great deception.

There are TWO separate issues, not ONE only...

1) Salvation is by grace through faith and NOT of works of God's Law, PERIOD.

SALVATION is the GIFT of God.

Jesus said *IT* is finished.

2) If you love and trust God's WORD, keep his Commandments. His Commandments are not grievous and they are not abolished!

There ARE works to be done in order to be chosen in the "Elect". Do those works of God's Law bring Salvation. Of course NOT. But should we focus on this milk forever? Of course NOT.

Sek, he is NOT saying his aunt will not inherit Eternal Life. He is saying there is no way she will be included in the First Resurrection.

Major difference...

It's easy to tell if someone is "in the running" or not, but even then we do not know if God will elect us, choose us, or not. But if we're doing none of those things required of God, then no way.

Salvation is a separate matter; this isn't about not inheriting eternal life.

@tetrahydroscope No, If you are a JW I do not mean to offend you, but actually EVERYONE who did NOT come up during the FIRST resurrection in all history of the earth, except for those who have received the Holy Spirit but blasphemed it, WILL ALL come up in the SECOND resurrection.

The "Elect", elected by God, chosen, will be resurrected at the first resurrection period, but the "rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished."

That's plainly what the text says, right?
