ok ill explain what happened in the end for those who might not get it.

Sim has the longest throw range besides zangief in this game, longest normal throw, basically alex wolfe has perfected the slide, then grab from BEYOND other characters throw range. What bison could have done had he not mashed to escape the noogie was eat a noogie and charge a scissor kick, but unfortunately it has to be reversal to escape, which is not easy to do

Also, I was under the impression that the only difference between Championship Edition and Hyper Fighting was the ability to choose your turbo speed. Aside from that, it was exactly the same game unlike World Warrior...

@QuikFingaz He's using the CE version of Dic. HF Dic is red or gray. There are many many differences between CE and HF, too many to go into here- google it or something....one important change from CE to HF is longer charge time for Dic's double knee press in HF.

you do realize that bison has no good reversals. as nothing of his really has any invinsibility. psycho crusher has 3 frames of iF's at start up, but doesn't hit until several frames later. so he would have been stuffed by dhalsims then standing strong/medium punch since that came out instead of the throw (because valle reversed into psycho crusher instead).

Similarly dhalsim doesn't really have any good reversals either, reversal teleports tend to put you in the same place as you started.

Yeah he did. You can either reversal scissor kick or go for a reversal throw. The reason you didn't always see it was because you only have 1 frame to do reversals and if 2 people throw at the same time, it is completely random who actually gets it. Also Dhalsim I believe has more throw range than CE Bison, but I don't know for sure.

@StBeasty1 How would you "jump out of sweeps", those are meaty sweeps, they are literally active as soon as you land from the throw tech. If you tried to jump out of them you would just get hit during jump start up. You can't jump out of meaties in any game that I know of.

CE Bison is recognized as the highest tier character in the game. He's almost seen as a cop-out by some players because of some of the weird crap you can get away when you use him.

As for Bison's dominance, I have been given a number of reasons but one of the biggest seems to be a specific combo he can trap people with that can almost guarantee a dizzy (I was told it once but I can't remember all the moves involved; it does use the Scissor Kick as you say, though).

Yes,he can cancel the chrouching Light Punch into Headpress ,it doesen`t do a ceap damage but offers an initiative in attacks(leap back and throw for example).Very efficient in turbo games and useless in the original slow SF2 CE.
