@davidkapsner2005 Thanks! Actually I think it was a combination of that and the fact that I was resting my elbow on the arm rest which makes it look like a hard landing.
Those spoilers are different. Mostly on the 737-600's, -700's, -800's and-900's, all the spoilers are even pretty much except the outer one closest to the ailerons. On most of them, the outer spoiler sticks up really far, but the other ones don't.
Continental flies to New York and Newark! Just because those two places' names sound alike, doesn't mean Continental only flies to one of those places, they fly to BOTH! And this isn't an emergency landing, it's a perfectly normal New York landing! Does it look like anythings wrong with the plane? Did the flight attendant mention any problems in the welcoming speech? No, so you were obviously just proved wrong because this video shows a Continental 737-800 landing in NY! Don't be stupid.
What camera is that you are you using, like give me all the details (Including price, and where you bought it from) I am very interested, I even favorited this video its GREAT! Probaly the most HQ video Ive ever seen too. Thank you.
Oh, indeed! But there is a slack range between the motorized portion of the hinges and the limit of the hinges for the spoilers. Because of the irregular flow of the air during stormy weather, the plane actually touched down quite harder than normal, so the spoilers must have popped up fast enough to get stuck on the limit range of the hinges. The airflow hitting the spoilers may have placed the spoilers back to a "normal" angle.
Very cool as you can see the flaps retracting as they get to the taxi way.

That was an unusual angle for the spoilers of a 73NG to be at @ 1.30. And then they went back to 'normal' @ around 1.45.....

There was a Delay at LaGuardia ? I see abunch of planes lined up....
cwastudent 2 years ago
Quite so. This particular flight was delayed at the original airport for an hour and a half due to the thunderstorms in the northeast region.
