Terrible moving stance by the guy nearest the camera, changing mags while near cover but exposed (multiple times by both of them), not looking downrange while exposed...how many of you dudes actually paid money for this crap?
@kalima275 they are keeping constant fire on target, they are not bounding back they are moving forward. The best Defense is a good offense and if all elses fails shoot more then they do, appear stronger then you are and dont let them breath.. Sometimes being parfect is not the best thing, If you are going to carry a firearm you have to understand that if your forced to use it you have to be more agressive then your attacker.
@bryant0320003 Sounds good to me. I'm just wondering why he's not using cover to change mags...seems kinda weird since he's standing right next to cover.
@kalima275 No its does not but A wall of bullets is good cover... Your banking on them not sticking there head out while your partner is shooting so you can reload.
@bryant0320003 Let's talk about that "wall of bullets"...let me tell you, it goes both ways. You're not going to convince me that changing mags exposed while standing next to cover is justifiable. I don't care how many partners you have...changing mags exposed is gay and is common with those that have never been shot at and have never had a reason to worry about "menial" things like cover.
@kalima275 for the most part he is behind cover when reloading, look at it this way if he goes behind cover all the way it makes the other the primary target. I understand some of of you guys went through brm and army combatives but in the real world things change... You have to be able to adapt and stay focused when your under fire, and Im not trying to convince you how to train. Magpul has some great tactics and training but its not for everyone... remember speed is the key...
@kalima275 And your a dumbass for leaving your buddy to draw all the fire because you cant mag change for shit shit... Did you even watch the videos? clearly not
@bryant0320003 Intentionally drawing fire with a dry gun...is this something you came up with or is this technique something you learned from someone else?
@kalima275 Im not saying its smart but looking at the vid clearly they are not a full squad, your stuck on the fact of how dare he reload with out cover. Its done all the time, and a reload takes very little time notice as well they are not standing still. And Im not responding to this troll BS anymore.
@bryant0320003 Even though you didn't answer my questions, I'll respond. You're completely wrong. I'm not stuck on changing mags exposed. I'm stuck on changing mags exposed while standing next to perfectly good cover. The synopsis of my point from the beginning is that I wonder why you people pay money for this when it's coming from someone who blatantly shows amateur habits. Then again, I figured out why...the background music, the beard, the frequency of tacticool product placement, etc. etc.
@kalima275 First of watch the vids not a fan vid. Second the angle of the camera dosnt give what they are doing justice.. First off they are not up against the wall they are back away from it they are fireing from cover. as he reloads he leans back in.. If all you do is troll all day when do you work?
Coming from a tournament paintball background( and its a brutal sport), it does'nt matter how many guys are covering you during a re-load, if your not behind cover, you're gonna eat one. guessing in a real situation these guys most likley wont reload away from cover. i was taught to reload while looking down field to keep track of movement/ new positions.
Yeah whenever you're performing an action that changes anything..such as reloading, moving etc you announce it. Also, when you see a threat and when the threat has been dispatched, you announce it....communication with anyone you are teamed with is the key....
@kookahjoon he said "Loaded" after a reload, they don't teach it in their art of the tactical carbine vids, but it's a good habbit when using a buddy system
@airsoftboy1313 They say up or loaded in the check drill. They also state that in the absense of communication (too loud far etc) listen for your buddies gun working.
The person that said that this will only get you killed and this is only for sport shooting. The way i look at this is, when you buy a "black rifle" it isnt for a sport it is for killing humans. These men have been in combat and have survived, i would say that these men know what they are talking about and what works and what doesnt. and since you probably play call of duty all day like a bitch i think i speak for everyone here when i say, fuck off you stupid ass piece of shit. you have no clue
i tell ya what, anyone in here who's been shot at raise their hand *raises both* now stfu and and go make a multi-million dollar company that takes control of a multi-BILLION dollar industry and set some standards........then come back and tell me how to hold my rifle and shoot my ammo.
Travis Haley killed more people than Polio while he was in Blackwater, but what they teach here will largely get you killed in a real combat situation. What they teach is more a sport than how to survive a gunfight.
do you speak from any experience? if not that please take your chairborne ranger ass back to the forums where ppl pretend to respect your head-up-your-ass formed opinion
@LeaveItToBeaner Yes I speak from experience. However, I am probably being too general saying everything they teach is pointless or danerous in a combat situation, some of it definately applies, especially to say an LEO dealing with an Active Shooter situation for example. But for a soldier on a MOUT a lot of this is not as effective. You have to remember too that these guys are racing essentially. What they do is a sport as much as it is tactical.
There are people in here talking shit that arent even old enough to buy a rilfle. Shut the fuck up and maybe you'll lean something ya little muthafuckers.
"Gay-dar" how long did it take u to come up with that? quit hating and gett a life. all your comments are aginst these guys, dont u have nething better to do. post a vid of ur skills, since u talk so much shit!
Notice they don't do 50% of the crap they teach, like checking the ejection port before reloading. Or waiting for permission to reload after calling out "reloading" etc etc
You apparently don't get it -- when in combat, you do everything you can to tear your opponent to pieces and you hope that you can do everything to 'range quality.'
Sorry, but it's YOU that don't get it. You don't teach people one thing on the range, then not do it when you're doing the same range exercise you were correcting others on for the same thing. Last I checked, not only was this a range exercise, but the same exact one they were correcting others on.
thats true for the most part but there are things that you over look till it becomes a problem. what i mean is if im firing my weapon and all rounds eject fine theres no need for me to check really because theres no time cause to me theres no problem if im firing and i hear click in mid fire then yes drop you mag clear, check, resume after you slam the mag in charge and hit the forward assist your right for the most part but there things that you focus on more then others till its a problem
@SpecOps82 on top of that, these guys are professionals, they will know when their weapon is down, and the teach all that other stuff to the students to engrave the fundamentals into their brains for when they may need to fall back on those skills.
you dont check the ejection port before reloading especially in a firefight. thats done in training and if you jam. imagine being in full battle rattle and stopping to check the ejection port. the morale of the story check your gear before patrol hope for the best during the patrol and if shit hits the fan fall back on your training and worry about ejection problems lol when the arise. it only takes a second to get shot so every sec counts when fighting. meaning no need to, till you do
@ redmule02 - Couldn't agree more. I've been saying this for a while and constantly getting shit from the magpul people on various forums. Checking your ejection port, waiting for permission to reload from the guy next to you, etc etc is all a bunch of contrived bullshit probably made up on firing ranges. If you've put the trigger time in, you know roughly when you've shot your 30 rounds and it's not a jam ... (continued)
... (continued) when someone is throwing lead your way, you don't ask the guy next to you if you can reload then waite for an answer. Chances are he's busy and not listening. You reload ASAP so you can put some lead out there and cover your buddy. 99% of this magpul crap is a bunch of contrived crap that not even their own instructors follow even on RANGE DRILLS.
I think I can watch this video all day
