Batman is also good for the unlocks, side missions, open world gameplay, challenges and the combat system.

yh I vote Batman Arkham CIty - cuz I tasted Batman Arkham Asylum just a few days ago with my shiny new fucking PHYSX CARD (still feels weird to say that) and it was pretty fun. the story line is nice and the characters are not those shooters that are beaten to death already. as I now say - THAT HORSE IS ALREADY DECOMPOSING.
I have gears 2, batman aa, and uncharted 2 and to be honest I think Uncharted 3 will be the best game and yes ive played all the way through gears 2 and batman aa but Uncharted 2 was a masterpiece and it was such an unforgettable experience playing through it. Just everything about it was amazing. Also Naughty Dog said that Uncharted 3 was going to take up the whole 50 gbs of the entire duel layered blu ray disk while gears of war 3 and batman aa are under 9 gbs because the xbox holds them back.

Uncharted 3 in a Heart Beat! :-) The only game that doesn't belong in the category is Batman because its more CQC and has nothing to do with a shooter. Gears of War 3 and Uncharted 3 makes a whole lot of since, just because blood and gore isn't involved in Uncharted 3 doesn't make it a non 3 person shooter. @shr00mzzzzzzzzzzzzzz If you have played Uncharted 2, which is far better than both Gears games, you would know why, having better multiplayer, more variety in gameplay, cinematic set pieces, no generic space marines, there are many reasons why Uncharted is considered the better franchise, from the fans and professional reviews.
Thats not to say Gears 3 won't be an improvement like, but i bet about 8/10 people would think Uncharted 3 will be better, if they own both consoles and aint biased
@CaptainSellers people are still on gears of war 2 and gears of war 1, and over 1 million people played the gears of war 3 beta and 99% of that million loved it, I wonder how many people they let uncharted play because I know their beta wasn't that big because they weren't as confident in their game to release a huge beta that anyone could get in like gears of war, but I'm not gonna compare these 2 games anymore because their for 2 different consoles and ps3 users can only play uncharted.

you cant compaire any of those 3 games, as for first they are different genes, UC3 is action adventure, gears 3 is action (and different in every way to UC3) and BAC is action adventure comic, i would say they are all the best at what they do, but all bad at what they done, so for example UC3 is bad at being a blood fest and gears 3 is bad at being at all steathy at any point, BAC is bad at being a shooter, so i would vote for all 3 of these being as god as it gets for the 3 types of games
@SpazldNinjaDude Though I agree that Gears should not be compared, BAC and Uncharted 3 are fair game, as they are both Action-Adventures. The style doesn't have to be the same for the games to be compared.
@kR0B45 i personaly thing they do, as true they are both action adventures, but UC3 is focused around shooting, BAC is focused around fighting, so though in the same genre they are 2 very different games, and all 3 deserve to be picked as seperate games, but if i truly only had to pick one, it would be BAC for the replayability and all the chalenge maps

This year I so far enjoyed quite a few BUT since I have to pick one I have to choose Gears fucking THREE!!! The MP beta was so fucking awesome it makes me want to stab some locus with the retro lancer and curb stomp some cogs!!

you cant compaire any of those 3 games, as for first they are different genes, UC3 is action adventure, gears 3 is action (and different in every way to UC3) and BAC is action adventure comic, i would say they are all the best at what they do, but all bad at what they done, so for example UC3 is bad at being a blood fest and gears 3 is bad at being at all steathy at any point, BAC is bad at being a shooter, so i would vote for all 3 of these being as god as it gets for the 3 types of games

@SpazldNinjaDude Though I agree that Gears should not be compared, BAC and Uncharted 3 are fair game, as they are both Action-Adventures. The style doesn't have to be the same for the games to be compared.

@kR0B45 i personaly thing they do, as true they are both action adventures, but UC3 is focused around shooting, BAC is focused around fighting, so though in the same genre they are 2 very different games, and all 3 deserve to be picked as seperate games, but if i truly only had to pick one, it would be BAC for the replayability and all the chalenge maps

ive only semi played 2 out of the 3 games and neither are gonna be my go to game and i would imagine a no mp arkham asylum means 1 play through so, probably saints row 3 lol wait thats 2003. unless you count cole cause he was bad ass in infamous 2!

Uncharted, hands down.
And the title just doesn't seem right, you should fix it.
"3rd person games" includes all these RPGs, Action, Adventure, Puzzle, Beat 'em up, fighting, Action-RPG games, and all other genres out there except 1st person of course.
And people are like "you forgot Zelda, you forgot SotC...etc"
More and more games are getting nominated which would totally ruin the poll.
I think it would be more comprehensive and sensible if they said you forgot all the other games out there.

OMFG!! You forgot Legend of Zealda: Skyward Sword you PRICK!! LOL I'm just kidding but if I had to choose between those 3 I think I would pick surprisingly Gears Of War 3 but ONLY because of the hord mode. Because I always find myself playing the survival modes in games the most these days.

I'm going to have to go with Arkham..the first game was just too epic..and now especially since they're adding in a stereoscopic 3D version as well as the crappy glasses 3d version from the start..(buying a 3D tv in Nov) on top of the awesome stuff they've said so far..I don't see those other 2 beating it at all.

Uncharted 3 without a doubt, even though I used to be a semi-pro at gears of war and I love Batman.
The Uncharted games can easily be argued to be the best this generation has to offer, especially the 2nd one.
