How come this game runs on a 16/48k Spectrum? Isn't there a second video RAM in use if it's a 128k only release?

This upgrade connect 128kB memory external. Only first videoram is usable and videoram switching are ignored.
1) Some 128kB software use only first videoram and work without problems with this upgrade.
2) 128kB software with support switching both videorams - work, but you see only each 2nd frame(first videoram only) and sprites in game can flash.
3) 128kB software with support only second videoram - work, but you will see on TV only first videoram with no graphic data.. (some demos)
