YOU SHOULD HAVE MOUNTED THE REAR FENDER UNDER THE SEAT

Might be a bit of effort, but it would be good to weld a strong(er) bar just across the top of the fender - with a rubber stop on stop of it. When the seat comes down against it, it would hit the rubber stop. Just like a truck axle, in a small way. ;)

T man, could you not mount a fender on the actual seat structure? Then you won't have any problems, right? You'd have a bit of space between the fender and wheel, but you wouldn't have any bouncy problems. Just a thought. :)

@espermatazoide ya, I could have done that and it did come to mind but I decided against it because I didn't want to remove the fender to screw the seat on when it comes time for that, also I like the idea of the fender being close to the tire.
