The footage is pretty jumpy; couldn't you have just said, "Hey, Khmer for a second so I can take some decent video of you." ? : ) But seriously, I'd like to come check out the festival this year; what is the best day to come? I spent 4 days in Siem Reap, Cambodia in 2009 and really enjoyed it (a collection of video clips can be found on my EL2995 YouTube page); Cambodia is a beautiful and facinating country with a rich history, and the Khmer people are very warm and friendly.

Are you KHMER? Even if you are not Khmer, come and join the festivity. Cambodians are very friendly. Cambodian New Year will take place from April 14- 17, 2011. But the best time to come is on Saturday and Sunday. I will be there from Thursday -Sunday. Look for me.

Yes, Siem Reap is a beautiful place. I was there in 2008 and 2009 and I had a wonderful time.

As for Khmers, they are the native of the mainland of Southeast Asia. Khmers were influenced by the Indian civilization and then later, by the Chinese.
