I sure didn't expect this type of reply. 9 kids from 4th to 6th grade built and program the robot. You obviously have a very limited view of what kids can accomplish when they put their minds to it. For them this comes naturally. All they need is some support and encouragement. Compared to many robots I have seen at tournament this one is very simple and somewhat bulky.
You under estimate what kids can do. I've been working with FLL teams for years, and I've seen incredible feats of engineering. If you watch the teams from their first year to their fifth year, you would see how they start off with simpler robots, but year by year, the robots get more advanced and elaborate.
