If the defilers gave coverage on the Ultras with swarm, those mech will crumble. Also he could have harrassed more with mutalisks, forcing the terran to create science vessels, which would reduce tank count. It's about using the units TOGETHER in synergy, not individually send them to die.

So why would Jaedong waste his resources on more mutas? Plus more ultras would also get irradiated (and defilers) Flash had such a strong support system (the layers of tanks) anything under the swarm would get obliterated by even splash damage. The biggest mistake JD did is letting Flash get that many bases, nothing else he couldve done

Im talking about the big push like 2ctrl groups of marines, medics, 3 tanks, sci vessel AKA the 9min push. Map control also doesn't mean much since zerg can't just expand 4-5 times cause they need to prep an army agains the big push. Btw there's no way of getting defiler vs a good terran before his big push, sci vessel is much ezier to get and they move out once that comes

@hawonl Actually it's more of a free scout for Flash to get those vultures into Jaedong's base. I think that was the main goal of sending those vultures in. Sometimes it's worth the cost for a good scout so you know how to react, that is what the high levels of play is about.

I must criticise the commentators here. SC is a complex game and positioning is very crucial. The commentators did not seem to see that the action throughout mid to late game on this map is about who controlls the center expansions. JD had almost won that game but started to suicide far too many units what ultimately cost him the game.
