Hong Kong also used to have a few demonstrators of Optare Metrorider in the late 1980s. But it was almost impossible to grasp the engine sound because they all had under-the-chassis air-conditioning (the only A/C Optare buses so far!). They only served for a few years before being replaced by Japanese Mitsubishi Fusos.
