  • cant wait for mass effect 3 i hope the map music would be even more better and more relaxing

  • btw, sam hulick made this not richard... whatever

  • waiting for Mass Effect 3 on x720/PS4, or maybe KotOR3; just do not want that shooter ME2 type again

  • @theChotkiyOne its going to be on ps3, 360 and pc in march

  • @ClankytheGorn March 6, to be exact, fellow ME player :)

  • @HaydenCalhoun march 6 = best day ever

  • @ClankytheGorn YUP! :D

  • 3 people didnt survive virmire

  • As far as i know you just can travel in the nilky way yet

  • can someone answer me this question? Do you only get to travel around in the milky way? its pretty massive but it would be awesome to be able to go to another galaxy

  • Ah yes, thanks for putting this track on your list. I was wondering when it was going to show up!

  • Scan. Send probe. Scan. Send probe. Scan. Send probe. Move on to the next planet with resources. I am the Unicron of the Mass Effect universe.

  • @gunslingerfry Unicorn? Hell, My Little Pony is everywhere;)

  • @AntipaladinPedigri

    Not sure if trolling,

    or just doesn't get it...

  • @gunslingerfry Why so serious all of a Saren?

Your reaction to my comment is not what I exSpectered.

  • I prefer this version with added bass!

  • Saren and the Collectors disliked this video

  • How on earth could somebody have pressed the dislike button?

  • @HarmlessCRUNCH They weren't on Earth, but they were human. They are just angry because they were abducted by the Collectors for some Reaper experiments.

  • If they don't bring this theme back in Mass Effect 3, I'm gonna go renegade on some Bioware chumps.

  • In the Mass Effect 2 Soundtrack, this song is called "New Worlds"

It's pretty much the same, with only a few differences.

  • the song is really calming it makes you feel if we can reach out and touch the stars and see what is over that new dawn ....

  • I honestly prefered Mass Effect 1 over 2 because the first one felt more like an RPG which was so much more interesting and there was only the shield regenerating. Sure, Mass Effect 2 had better companion AI, a better cover system and was much better graphically, but if you take off those 3 new elements, then ME2 isn't even worth playing over the first, in my opinion.

  • "Are you kidding?"... "Probing Uranus"... yeah EDI suffered in Shepards hands

  • Can a project the beauty and splendor of space more?

  • So annoyed that this game didn't win a BAFTA for best soundtrack :/

  • This song is beautiful *--*

  • I prefer the ME1 song "Vigil" over this one but still its pretty good and reminds me of playing the first game :)

  • I love this song. Call me a space-hippy if you must, but when I first opened up the Galaxy Map, I felt many emotions: Immense freedom, a yearning to explore the unknown, the beauty of the galaxy, out relative insignificance, and even a slight twinge of fear that humanity may never reach this level of civilization... All this is wrapped up for me in this song. Beautiful.

  • "Probe launched"

  • Probably my favorite song in the games. Also, Supradarky, I believe the song is called Uncharted Worlds. ;)

  • Man I love ME. I think I probably had the best experience possible when I played then the first time. What happen is i bought ME1 3 days prior to the ME2 release. I played it intensively for the next 3 days and finished it 5h before the release of the second. So everything was still fresh in my mind and I attached to the caracter. Then I played ME2 and damn was it awesome. Not only for the game itself but for the feeling I had playing. I didn't trust Cerberus until the very very end of the game.

  • *Presses B to zoom out*

    *Exits Map screen*

    Me: EVERY SINGLE TIME! FUUUUUUUU-

  • @AssassinKNR Only if you played ME2 first. :P

  • This song should be put on every elevator and phone on-hold music.

  • I actually got bored of looking for new stuff and fell asleep to this tune. . . For shame I know but I enjoyed the lullaby.

  • I just can't find any words to describe the fact that I can't describe the epicness and nostalgia this song gives to me.

  • And by the way, Mass Effect 2 was way, way better than de first one, Mass Effect 1 was very good but ME2 is just beyond epic

  • Anomaly detected

  • lol to much greatness to say about this. the best thing of course being the dialog. how long has it been since you've seen so much work put into it? maybe back in the days of Earthbound but i doubt it. BioWare has come a long way. Hope they keep up the great work.

  • With Mass Effect 2, God of War III, Red Dead Redemption, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and a slew of great lesser titles... this must be the best gaming year ever. And it's only halfway finished.

  • Awesome! These are great games and the music is very memorable.

  • Yes! More Mass Effect! The soundtrack to ME1&2 has such a futuristic tone to it, yet it still somehow sounds modern and relevant. I love it.

  • ME2 is still my leading candidate for RPG of the year 2010. That game is so epic it's not even fair for the competition!

  • @Boyce18 It's leading candidate for Game of the Year. it's that awesome.

  • @Razakage My bad ;)

  • @Boyce18 mass effect 2 was barely an rpg..the first one was superior in every sense of the word.

  • Nice, but won't make me want to play MassEffect.

  • play the virgil tracks! those are the best!

  • the illusive man and the suicide mission theme songs are awesome too!

oh and let's not forget the infamous elevator songs in ME 1 :)

  • Sorry guys, but i just have to shout ELITE! there, i did it and if anyones woundering what the hell im talking about, elite is a game which probably inspired mass effect.

  • the theme in Mass Effect 1 where the counsil gives you the speech when you become a spectre is also awesome

  • I love ME1&2 accept how easy 2 was wasn't hard at all. :-/

  • @Sanjo32

Try it on insane with a new character, alot harder than normal

  • @SlRDancealot I did, the game is easy but still good.

  • @Sanjo32 I think you just might be too good for the game then. Insane is a hefty challenge for most people.

  • Good choice. I loved the second game even more than the first. This song is just perfect for space traveling.

  • Everyone should also check out JiveDJ's remix of this song. it is a little bit more upbeat / tranceish. I love the Galaxy Map music and love the remix.

Search Mass Effect Music - JiveDJ's Remix to find it.

  • Oh yes. I would purposely stall on the map and read all the planet descriptions and everything just so I could hear this whole song.

  • ME1 > ME2 by miles.

  • I'm still working on ME1, but OHMYGOSH it's fantastic. Absolutely love it. Great pick as always supra!

  • I still need to play the MA games but KOTOR shall be Bioware's best game ever for me.

  • This game is epic. It has great gameplay, an amazing story, a wide assortment of characters, so many extra things to do that will add hours to the game, and it's got an amazing soundtrack. I can't think of one thing I do not like about this game lol... Great choice Supra! Mass Effect is epic!

  • Truly fantastic, just like anything BioWare makes.

  • Good call.

  • The intro sounds very very familiar to another world famous song. Can't put the tongue where... Some Hollywood Film? Or maybe it was a CSI song?

However, rest of it really does sound flimsy space sensitivity. ^^

  • YEAH

Mass Effect is my favortite video game EVAR!

    Yes With an "AR"

  • This is the Mass effect 1 version the mass effect 2 version sounds different but other then that great bgm

  • I don't know how many times this song as put me to sleep. It's so serene. One of the best songs out there; Bioware really did an outstanding job with the music of ME1 & 2.

  • As someone said, even if ME isnt old, when playing ME2 there was a huge nostalgia feel to it whenever it touched back to ME1. Guess it means bioware succeeded with the mood. =)

  • @ZeZwede

Yeah, me too. I love ehen they put the original music in sequels. It's familar and new, at the same time. Quite a unique mood, there. And the Probe remix is just icing on the cake.

  • Even though it wasn't too long ago when the first Mass Effect came out, this song is incredibly nostalgic. I was really glad that they used this song in the sequel.

  • Great song...I wouldn't mind this playing on the radio in my rocketship.

  • excellent choice! Mass effect 1 & 2 are loaded with good music overall and I can't wait for the third one to come out. A truly immersive game experience if I've ever played one. It's almost not enough for it to be called just a game

  • sometimes I would just go the map and sit there, listening to the music

    it's very calm and peaceful

  • awesome games with awesome music. a ton of replay value too so i listen to this even more. i can't wait for mass effect 3.

i don't see why everyone says mass effect 2 is so much better then the first one though.

  • Thank you. This is one of the most memorable tracks in video game music. Once you hear it you will never forget it. It just takes you out of this world. I hope you revisit this series, the soundtracks are outstanding.

  • Yes, the ME series is my favorite one, in my opinion, and this song kinda started being irritating after a while, when playing. But it's nice to hear it again.

  • YES. I love the Mass Effect series. A lot. And it's a good theme for the Galaxy Map...it's beatiful and never gets tiring. :D

  • Anyone who played ME1&2 has to instantly recognize this track. Flying the Normandy around space, looking for new planets to explore and new missions to discover. I'm a really big fan of the ME universe and I'm playing the second game right now which I love so far.

  • @SupraDarky One problem with it though. It reminds me of ... scanning..ugh

  • @SupraDarky is very relaxing, and sets the mood for space exploration

  • @SupraDarky Thank you SO MUCH. On ME 2 I'd explore the galaxy JUST to listen to this theme. It added to the thrill of mining minerals and finding hidden missions. Nostalgia at its finest.

  • @SupraDarky what an epic song !!!! I think I must of played this game 4 times now, its pretty addictive!

  • @SupraDarky Such a timless track. Perfect music to wondering if there really are salarians and turians and asari and elcor.....and even the reapers.
