I believe there is a documentary of her leaving the same house in the same car with possibly the same driver in the 1980s. She is shaking here, she walks like she always did when she gets in the car and she's wearing Katharine's custom-tailored clothes. She was in her 90s, so of course she would be drastically changed. I don't see what the problem is with this video. The videographer took this footage in public. They did not invade KH's privacy by sneaking into he home or peering over the backyard fence. She is in public and she's not photographed in a compromising or embarrassing situation.

Katharine Hepburn did not have a stroke. From the video, she seemed slow and frozen. "Why would you want to take a picture of me?" I can hear her say "I'm just a very old woman who no one really remembers." Remember her mouth was naturally downturned. Age slows a person down, but she is still able to walk, look with scorn, and go about her business in the same stride she did when she was.
I'm sorry. I tend to respond to more than one comment in a single comment. Hepburn did have a palsy, which resembles Parkinson's but isn't, and her face resembles something like that. As confused as she looks, if you look at her eyes, the stride we all know and love her for is in her still, as she looks at them scornfully then goes about her business.

Why not? She's famous! That's what comes with fame, and she knows it. She profited greatly, both financially and emotionally, from a lifetime of fame. If she didn't want this, she should have become a librarian rather than a movie star. And, she could have secluded herself in her home, like Greta Garbo did. And since when is it so offensive to film someone just because they are elderly? That attitude is discriminatory and condescending.

I think Katharine Hepburn met her fair share of Freddies throughout her sublimely accomplished career in film & I am not offended at all. Something tells me that ill or not, old or not, there's a flicker in those eyes that is just as effective as the toe of her elegant boot would have been half a century before. I do prefer to remember her as the image she built of herself ("Who's this creature?" she asked about herself on her autobiography)
Yep, I'd much rather delight in her films : )

Besides the fact that Fred is a low life oportunistic piece of shit, the video itself does not show an injured bird or horse like another poster mentions but that one of an old and beautiful Katharine Hepburn being escorted to her car. She walks fine and waits and watches for traffic to pass and even probably notices the poor broke low income loser Fred and even might be thinking "God id hate to be him, what a cheap 3rd rate loser of losers chasing people to make money" She couldnt care less 4 U

This must have been taken years before she died in 2003. In about 1996 or 1997, it was announced that she was leaving her NYC home to live permanently at her weekend home in Connecticut. The Turtle Bay townhouse was then leased, and sold after her death. It is definitely her, though.

Seriously, the point of this is what exactly? I'm in full agreement with everyone who condemns this sort of thing as invasive and demeaning. Katharine Hepburn was one of the greatest movie stars of all time, and this secretive video taken of her, clearly without her permission, is inappropriate.
And regardless of whether the photographer was male or female, Kate in her prime would have kicked your ass up and down the street.

I'm surprised all of you "Katharine Hepburn fans" actually think this is her. Her face is disfigured enough to look like a mask (and I know it wasn't like that any time before she died), and she suffered from fairly noticeable essential tremor, a motor disease which causes uncontrollable shaking, which can be seen in her last movie in 1994.
Don't insult the uploader for what you think he did, but for what he tried to do.

she wasn't even in NYC the last 6 or 7years of her life...any video EVER taken of her was of course "before she died" duh...thank god she had the good sense to go into seclusion in her family estate, so no pictures or videos excist of her in her senile last years..

@KHepfan11 Actually you are wrong about Katharine being rarely seen in NYC. She lived in East 49th Street and I lost count of the number of times I saw her during the 2 years I lived in 2nd Street. Believe it or not, most people went by her without recognizing her which worked great for her. The last time I saw her was around September or October 2002. Great lady.

Katharine Hepburn did not have a stroke. From the video, she seemed slow and frozen. "Why would you want to take a picture of me?" I can hear her say "I'm just a very old woman who no one really remembers." Remember her mouth was naturally downturned. Age slows a person down, but she is still able to walk, look with scorn, and go about her business in the same stride she did when she was.

I'm sorry. I tend to respond to more than one comment in a single comment. Hepburn did have a palsy, which resembles Parkinson's but isn't, and her face resembles something like that. As confused as she looks, if you look at her eyes, the stride we all know and love her for is in her still, as she looks at them scornfully then goes about her business.

Well, it seems like her indeed. But few points make me doubt a little. First, she dont have the shaking head on that vid. She had that for years till her death. Second, she seems to walk very fast for a woman in her 90, since she had a broken foot from a car accident years ago. But most of all, why you wait almost 7 years after her death to show that exclusive video?
