hey dipshit...in some cases that may apply...but for some people hitting the high notes night in and night out all over the world year after year can cause scar tissue in the vocal cords. mike took care of his for as long as he could. people used to ask him for a scream at promos he would decline for that reason. and,voice maturation is something no1 can avoid. age not a factor? u don't know what your talking about. for those mentioned they are the exception not the rule.

scar tissue is comprised of healing matter that after you have suffered an injury no matter how minute the area becomes inflamed. inflammatory matter is called edema. after edema subsides healing begins. the healing matter is what developes a scar i.e. tissue...the more you injure or damage the affected area the more scar tissue envelopes the injured area...a compilation of high frequency screams can damage the vocal cords over a period of time. therefore, causing scar tissue to accumulate.
