I've had the same thing happen on a couple of playthroughs. I think he's trying to get at you via the far ramp you can use to get onto that platform- only his AI can't figure out that there's a train in the way.

lol i was playing stalker today and went past that train.. So i was standing next to the train looking at my inventory and saw the bloodsucker there. He was just standing there and didnt attack me even though i was just a couple of feets away. Then i shot him.. xD

heh, behind that train station is like a warehouse type building, I saw a bloodsucker eating a guy's body (whom randomly showed up and shot me), so I ran around to the boarded area, and RPG'd him :D

The AI in stalker is intelligent in some ways but not so in others.

intelligent in the way that if you sniper a person from far away with a silenced gun, the others will freak out and not know what the fuck.

Unintelligent in the way that a stalker will jump into a fire barrel and die, and then everyone around him takes up defensive positions and don't know what the fuck.

The AI is probably finding two different paths as the best path, and activating some kind of default behavior when it gets stuck trying to take them both at the same time.

I installed the Trader mod prior to this (it's a mod that makes all the ammo, armor, and guns available in the game to be sold by any trader in the game), and I spent 25000 RU to get it.

Ahh I see. Yeah that's happend to me too a few times. Have you ever experience any bug on the last "level" of the game, where you're supposed to make your way to the sarcophagous? When I get there it's all screwed up, when I look up there is a concrete plane surface above me and vehicles and enemys flash in and out of view makeing it more or less impossible to get anywhere.

They are cloaked (meaning they are almost transparent), and the bug was that he wasn't going around to go up the steps to where I was, but instead just kept moving back and forth in one spot, not getting close to attacking me.
