I don't know. The public always says that they want their politicans to be more "real" but then when they are, it sometimes turns into a scandal. I blame the public for the fakeness of politicians. They are too easily offended. I'm not talking about this in particular, but just in general.
The reason we have so many dishonest politicians is because most voters like style over substance. They won't admit it, but they do. If they cared about integrity, Jesse Ventura would be president.
