Atwood is such a brilliant writer! I've just finished reading The Handmaid's Tale and I want to read it again!

From an early age she knew she wanted to be a writer. She is undoubtedly great at it but why do writers and actors and few professions like these get so much fame. Where is the guy who knew from a young age he wanted to be an electrician, and undoubtedly is a great electrician, where is his fame? I'm pretty sure no matter how good he was he couldn't attain the fame Atwood has. Therefore I respect Atwood for her skills but she is a false idol as she is no better than that electrician.

I retract my statement about her being a false idol, she is an idol but it is society's fault for giving writers, actors, sports people so much fame. Everyone good in their profession should be equally recognised
