  • hihi I wouldn't! Despite the fact that Duga3 is too far away for me, It is 10km away from the nuclear accident site Chernobyl and it is still quite Radioactive.

you can see it in GE at coords 51°18'19.32"N 30° 4'3.40"E or just head for Chernobyl and go 10km south.

  • @makrisj

    You better check your maps:

Radio Arcala is nowhere near Chernobyl !

  • @makrisj

    You better check your maps:

Radio Arcala OH8X is nowhere near Chernobyl ! !

  • Those LUNATICS at radio arcala...

  • @oulukarhu Joo juurikin ne ...siinä on toistaiseksi maailman suurin systeemi kyseisille bandeille eli 1.8MHz ja 3.5MHz

  • Hahhaa!!

And i use only 5.8M long ½wave vertical for cb radios!!

  • Very impressive antenna! Surely makes me want to go to Finland to see this beauty.

    73 de TF2SUT

  • Wow! How much would that cost to build and assemble!

  • Great ! 73's

  • You have the most impressive antennas I have ever seen! TKS for the beatiful work!

    73´s

  • It would be great if you could make available some recordings where the signal of some weak remote station can be heard and compared between this monster and "normal" 160m antenna, like GP or 4SQ. Just to feel the difference. Anyway - this is almost unbelievable.

  • Just awesome.

Congratulations to this great piece of work!!

  • I would like to hear you guys working with this antenna. Congrats once again! A really beauty...

    73's from Romania. YO3IBW, Dan

  • that is the most insanely awesome creation I have ever laid eyes on. I wish I could go there and just see that thing in person....

  • @disgruntldtoad if you think this is awesome, look up HAARP lol

  • @TheRealDj2quick this is a... radio amateur antenna, private funding. Not some goverment funded military research program of many billions $.

Of course, you are excused for not knowing that.

  • @makrisj i know exactly what this is, lol a normal radio antenna, of which haarp is many.

i was responding to someone, who, like me, can see the beauty in these giant antennas.

Also, my post was 3/4 of a year ago,

I posted to merely tell him to look up an equally interesting antenna is all, not so people like you could start a debate on youtube of all places, take that elsewhere. We were interested in antennas, not your ego, thank you. OF COURSE you are excused for not knowing THAT.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheRealDj2quick What Ego??

I just to be polite and not offend anyone.

If someone compares the HAARP with this something is wrong.

the haarp could be good only for NVIS when the given antenna has the whole world served in plate

as stated, HAARP is gov't inverstment so the billions of taxpayers can warm up the sky. this is something even you could have in your back yard, provided that you have one this big and that you opt not to buy a lamborghini or some other big real estate but this.

  • @makrisj i realize HAARP cannot really be used for NVIS, as it is not meant for that application. And yes, everything you said was correct, i was just thrown off by youre comment at the end " you are excused for not knowing that" when i in fact DO know everything that you mentioned; and yes i agree HAARP is gaining too much popularity and people will think any big antenna is haarp or something like it. Hell i dont even know if haarp even does what they say it does. Who knows really? lol

  • @TheRealDj2quick Happy to see you are online, here time is 6AM!!

Check Duga3 array of antennas, watch?v=hH6C0kun5DU

(I bet you already have, this goes to all readers so please excuse the attitude)

  • @makrisj yes that is an amazingly huge antenna! i want to go there and see it for myself, pictures dont do justice.

  • Απάντηση σε αυτό το βίντεο... Also, Where did you see trails of ego in this post? I am not a radio arcala group member, I just tried to point out the significant difference between haarp and this. and since HAARP has gained lots more popularity than this, I tried to clear it up.

and tried to avoid confusions or insulting you by the last statement.

Which was just there to avoid what actually happened.

    Cultural mismatch, I would say....

  • @makrisj all is well, you just came off a little cocky i guess, and i was offended because i never said this was haarp, just that haarp was also interesting, it being a giant antenna as well. :P

  • I'm jealous! 73s
